Re: Cotric re-signs with the Raiders to end 2020
Ottio is also better suited to moving in than on the wing. He could spend a lot of time at centre in 2018. Just not in first grade. That said he's looked much better at centre for PNG than Nene Macdonald who shouldn't have an issue getting a first grade gig. I guess you can take minnow world cup for...

Having a half that defends like Maloney next to the penrith 2nd rowers is going to be a big target for attack. He's not going to have the protection of a Luke Lewis or Wade Graham.

Gubb looks like he could lose a few. Boyd looks fit. Not much of a photo shoot. Won't take long to lose that few in the pre-season. Paps and Paulo on the other hand look like they need a year. I can excuse Papa. He had to take time off to mourn with family but Paulo was supposed to have kept traini...

Great post red. Though I think if stick signed TC it was more of a "let's just see what happens" rather than an answer to a specific question. If anyone cares, for the record, I'm firmly in the no TC camp. He's a **** that is not only damaging to your club's brand but adversely affects the...

@GE Excellent write up. Chin up mate. If our current squad plays to their ability they can pull something out of their arses. I agree the TPA situation is completely lopsided but I also think our cap is distributed contrary to what is considered modern best practice. We're much flatter whereas other...

Re: Canberra Raiders to shed players in salary cap drama
Geez frugal you are not. What's a couple 100k extra here or there to pay your team captain to play for another side. The long service allowance is meant to be a cap exemption, is it not? If Croker left, we wouldn't be paying another team our exemption... So if the exemption is capped at $300k, it w...

One thing to keep in mind with Croker is the discount we get for years at the club. A club taking him on is not going to receive that (not that I would move him on). How much of a discount do clubs get for long serving players though? I thought it was at something like $300k per club, which would r...

Joey Joe Joe in the starting pack. Happy for him. Hopefully he picks up some confidence out of this.
Rapana also has a centre that's good at setting up his winger.
That's a good bench.

What’s happening with Seb Kris? He'll be turning 19 shortly after the season starts. If he doesn't nab a development contract he'd likely be in the Mounties under 20s if he wants. I think he'd be good enough to start in the Ron Massey cup (level below reserve grade). If he handles that well could s...

Re: Raiders Contracted Players - Updated 20 October 2017
Interesting to see if he can grab a Mounties gig. You'd think if he's worth any investment he'd have to be snagging a regular bench spot or better in 2018. There is room for them to shuffle players around in the 2nd row, bench and centres.
