Re: What has made/ruined your day

Belated condolences to Dubby and Bewdle. I hope your hearts mend OK in time. It is a tough situation to handle and sadly nothing friends can say will make it any easier. Take care.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2016

I wouldn't let Sia go under any circumstances. He is invaluable. I would sign him for as long as he can play and then move him into the management area so that he can have a role mentoring younger players, especially Islander players who not only have to adapt to the life of a professional player bu...

Re: 2016 Rd 2 V Roosters: Teams and Previews

Canberrigan. You don't wreck a Merc to keep your VW on the road. Wighton is one of our strengths, BUT at fullback. In the halves he is only just a first grader. Croker is being paid good money to be our back up half. Time for him to produce! Jackson Hastings has played a handful of FG games, one a S...

Re: 2016 Rd 2 V Roosters: Teams and Previews

If Croker does play five eighth he'd better be prepared to tackle because they will work him over. Believe it. He will be far from the only half back to be given the treatment during the round. I imagine our forwards are licking their lips at the prospect of trying out the Roosters pair as well! Ha...

Re: Elliot Whitehead watch

Yeah, I thought he was good considering. On a day like today Ricky would have been looking for 80 mins of good effort taking the strain off the props and he got that. His chase was good and mostly effective, and he tried to do some work around the rucks which he is normally good at. I think any crit...

Re: 2016 Rd 1 V Panthers: Game Day

With about 10 or 12 mins to go, Whitehead was standing just in front of where we were sitting and I don't think I have ever seen a more exhausted player. He was just swaying in small circles. He must have plenty of ticker to have kept going the way he did, although Hodgson was in his ear a fair bit ...

If you read through my comments on last years games (and I know you'd just love to), you would note that I have long been a critic of Fensom and his silly errors, penalties, dropped balls, etc. But I also gibe him credit for the fact that he always plays on the absolute edge of exhaustion in every g...

Re: 2016 Rd 1 V Panthers: Teams and Previews

Before Christmas I overheard part of a conversation Ricky S was having with some friends. He mentioned the lack of closing out a game during the season past. I think we need to give some thought to who we want on the field for the last 20 minutes or so if we want to predict who Rick might pick. I'm ...

They have business assets in the region But aren't their fan base and club on the CC? Penrith have a good pack of forwards and some good outside backs, but gee their halves are stodgy albeit with pretty good kicking games. They desperately need a Blake Austin style player in there to liven them up. Is that Te Maire Whatsit up to the job? Or should it be Moylan?

Matty Gordo. You are right, the lesser lights were on, but the same old suspects were still there and making the same old errors. Most notably Waqa and E Lee.
