Re: Tuqiri to the Wests Tigers

Not sure where they intend on playing him, i've heard fullback and wing mentioned.... hopefully he plays fullback against us cause i can only see him as a threat on kick returns, not in general play like the modern day fullbacks who pop up everywhere/ ball play etc.... Imo he will struggle to do tha...

Re: New Broncos recruit a Wanka

I'm sure the Irish Rugby League team had a bloke called "Wayne Kerr" playing for them at the last RL world cup. I think they should recruit him to get an even balance in the team

Re: The battle to play Raiders half

Imo McCrone should get first crack ( if both are fit ). Herbert didnt do a lot to impress me in 09, although he's a stronger defender than mccrone, i think his attack was below par ( too much sideways running ) almost every attacking raid he was in had the team running overs lines, needs to mix it u...

Re: Tilse keen for ‘no surprise’ NSW Country selection

I don't know if i've been watching the same Dane Tilse as everyone else but IMO I think he has been quite inconsistent and a tad disappointing. Hopefully he will play some good hard consistant footy and cement a starting spot before he worries about Country selection, He'd struggle to make my top 1...

Re: Greatest Club Clashes Nominations: New Zealand Warriors

The Semi in 2003 was one of the best games i've witnessed live ( except for the result ). Rnd 6 2006 at Bruce Stadium was also great, we won 18-14. We were down 14-12 with only minutes on the clock when Tongue got his hands on the ball from about 15-20 metres out put a grubber kick through , regathe...

 Great news, 2 years seems good for both parties considering his age and the clubs position. It would have been an absolute tragedy to see the Tongue in colours other than Lime Green :cmon

Re: 2010 Membership Drive: Become a Raiders member today!

My son and the newest Raiders fan, Lincoln Daley was born Mon 18/1, His jersey is a bit big but ready to go for season 2010. His middle name 'Daley' is obviously after the great man, i can't believe my wife let me have it considering she's a Knights fan. (note: Lincoln was not after 'Withers' but i'...

How good is our depth in the backrow ????? The hard thing for Furner will be utalising them all. That could be quite hard with Harrison and Tongue being 80 min players.

Alan Tongue for me because, 1. monna's is injury prone, 2. we'd be screwed if campo got injured and 3. shillington will do better for the rest after the kangaroo tour to the UK.

Re: 2010 Predictions: who will standout and why

If given 1st chance i expect Josh McCrone to cement the 7 jersey and Jarod Croker to be in the top 5 try scorers in the NRL. As for the pack an injury free TLL to have a massive year.

Re: How good is it to be a Raiders fan right now?

Definately shaping as a very exciting season for the Lime green. a lot will depend on the us keeping injury free and out of trouble off the field. Obviously our away form must improve, but most of all we must be the teams lower than us on the table as well as a few of the top teams. Prime Example, w...

Re: Tongue wants to talk

It would be a massive loss to lose Tonguey to another NRL club. I think the club should offer him a 2 year deal with an optoin ( for both parties ) for a third year. On his form in 2009, he obviously played a lot of the season carrying injury and did so with the club being his top priority. I'm sure...

Re: Dugan touted as future superstar for Canberra

I'm interested to know if the Raiders have Josh Dugan signed to a long term deal ? I've noticed that the club has recently re-signed other young guns such as Waddell, Vidot and Croker to name a few, I havent heard or seen any news regarding Dugan. I think it must become the major priority for the cl...
