I'm only for a coaching change when it's planned and a real upgrade. With Dessie and Bennett out of the equation for years I would challenge Bellamy with lots of money and a return to your roots opportunity to try and tempt him in 2014. Wow that feels a long way away.

Unfortunately Williams defence was well below first grade standard not just with missed tackles but also positioning and communication. He will get there in the coming season or two, but we can't have a liability in defence at this stage of the season.

89 had more highlights in a single game than some entire seasons had.

Big one for me is the fact that until then no grandfinal team had come back from being more than 4 points down at half time in a GF. The 5 metre rule meant that comebacks were rare in this era

I agree that passing to the wingers more often will actually improve their chances of breaking tackles when they do run themselves. I think some teams knew that our centers were unlikely to pass so could compress the defensive line.

I reckon mcrone will setup on average 1 extra try per round. This will be enough to win an extra 2 games in a season - which might be important.

He improved his cover defence as the season wore on. And maybe started to bounce off tackles less as well

Anyway just my speculation

Whilst I thought Waddell was better I still thought his passes from dummy half were a bit slow when compared to most nrl level hookers and I thought he threw a few passes forward from dummy half that may have been called in a regular nrl game.

But an improvement no doubt.

I think we should make a play for the first outside back who is shopped around by another club early in the season. Every year there are three or four who this happens to. It was Inu and j reddy last year.

What we need to seek is across the board improvement - let's aim to make the last 4 in week 3 of the finals and then rely on form, skill and a bit of luck.

I would be happy with improvement that looks like our young squad have a chance of winning in 2013 to 2016
