Re: POLL: Strongest 2020 line up: Props

I’m starting with Lui because he finished the season extremely well and he is excellent defensively on the line and in stopping offloads. But as long as Guler and Horsburgh come back from injury well, train strongly and return to form, I expect them to be in the starting team by seasons end. But Lui...

Re: POLL: Strongest 2020 line up: Wingers

That list that had Simo fourth or so only had him at something like 33-34kmh from memory, so I think it was pretty limited.

A newspaper list had C Scott as our fastest player and I’m not sure that is true either.

Re: POLL: Strongest 2020 line up: Wingers

In the four full games that Simo played as a winger last season he averaged 150 metres in each one. I think he'll be fine in that regard. He's got stuff to work on, and I would've like to have seen a high quality winger come onboard, but at the moment he's the best we've got IMO. Opposition were ki...

Biden and the Democrats should focus on what they are doing in the first 100 days of office. Not try for a Hail Mary on the incompetent President who’s there for the next two weeks. Re: The Cricket Thread

Can be hard for a good player in a weak team playing against a strong team. The strong team really target the good player with the best of their attack, there is also additional pressure when your fellow batsmen keep getting out. Certainly Kane Williamson is up with the best. I’d still rank Kohli an...

Hard to tell, but votes over the last 90 minutes have been favouring Republicans. Democrats will have to overturn this trend over the coming few hours.

Esera top 30? I don’t think so.

I still hold out hope for a 50 plus BJ Mole to win that 30th squad position almost 30 years since retirement. Ricky knows I beat his off season training team almost single handedly (very questionable) in 1991.

I can’t believe the commentators thought one of the passes was forward in the Chicka involvement.

Passes used to have to be deeply backwards under the old refereeing interpretations.

Good point on Sutton NR. He really hits hard especially on a player running straight at him. Lui is really good at hugging the player and the ball which stops offloads and occasionally enables a strip. Lui is close to our best goal line defender. Defence is the area that Sutton and Lui are better in...

Jarrod Croker to miss start of 2021 season after shoulder surgery

The defining play for McCrone for me was sitting in Bruce with a bunch of mates (the old GH gambling group to be clear!), against Manly... we were down big, and just on the stroke of halftime, an opportunity presented itself...
