Raiders coach Ricky Stuart praises new NRL rule changes
The 6 again calls need to be reported by tackles gained, not as a raw count of how many you received.
If it’s on the first tackle it’s worth less than on the last.
Easy to create a % measure calculation of total tackles made.

Fired lbw first ball to one that, wait for it, hit the bat and no part of my leg. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk Weird. I remember softly pushing a ball off the middle of my bat towards cover for a single. My bat clipped my pad on the way through. I was absolutely shocked when the umpire sign...

Yep excellent podcast.greeneyed wrote:Just listened to the Ricky Stuart one. It is focused on what he does as a coach and it’s by far the best of the three. That one is really very good.
I also think it shows the development of Ricky as a coach in the last few years.

Ben Cummins has clearly been affected by his monumental stuff up in the 2019 grand final.
He either needs a long break or a different role in the refereeing ranks.

Papa will be in trouble. Entire Roosters and Storm pack will be in very big trouble.
I counted an entire set where the Roosters didn’t touch the ball with their foot.

This is actually quite disheartening. Not sure why we want to turn the sport into some sort of Big Bash like circus. I can’t imagine it will increase profits or crowd numbers As I’ve said before. The best rule changes have proven to be the simplest rule changes. Some of these rule changes seem quit...

Handover for incorrect play the ball is something I’ve been advocating for over a decade.
Hopefully better PTB’s will lead to a reduced need to wrestle in some rucks.

I remember Matai’s first few games and he looked much better than Timoko.
I believe Raiders had interest in Matai early and also mid career.
I do hope Timoko and HSS kick on, but I’m not seeing what others are.

Why do Plain Clothed Police rarely wear plain clothes? Hawaiian shirts and Chino’s seems to be the set uniform. Are you basing opinion this entirely on a few episodes of Miami Vice? If the NRL don’t withdraw Moses’ license from being a player then what good are they.
Moses has acted far worse than players such as Carney and Monaghan who never played NRL again.
For the good of the game Vlandy’s must act on Moses.

Carney has a Prima Donna attitude in a bogun wannabe body.
He loves to help people out when the media knows about it, but he moves on when the ongoing role becomes a mundane task.

Teams have to travel, that’s part and parcel of the competition. So you can never be even. Unfortunately Naden seems to lack the required level of self discipline to be an NRL footballer.
He’s certainly faced a number of challenges not of his own making. But he needs to take a leaf out of some other Indigenous players books.

I think the NRL now have to let De Belin play until he’s either found guilty or not guilty.
I fully supported the stand down, but it can’t go on indefinitely. The NRL made a very strong stance and stuck solid despite pushback.

Brendan Elliot would be a good cheap pickup for a club. We don’t need him with us having Rapana. But I think he’s a very decent back up outside back in the Michael Oldfield mould.

Yep 18th man for concussion permanent replacement would be a good idea.
I’d like to see less block plays in attack, so I’d like a stricter ruling on interference by the attacking team.
