Re: What excites you most about the Raiders 2019 season?

Croker retire Sent from my SM-G960F using The Greenhouse mobile app powered by Tapatalk I think Croker should play on the wing, truly. Fast, less decisions, still a great goal kicker. The El Masris and Halligans of our world have done it. I know it's an impossible call for Ricky because Toots is "c...

Re: What excites you most about the Raiders 2019 season?

Yeah Dubs I hear ya. I'm hoping the extra few years have helped. To be totally honest he looked just as awkward at fullback, back then remember? Poor hands, laughed at for dropping bombs, etc. We'll see. He is a bit tall and range-y for mine as a 5/8th, susceptible to being picked up and driven, or ...

Re: What excites you most about the Raiders 2019 season?

If Wighton has managed to develop soft hands/feet instead of his usual ***** fingers and cinder blocks he may be a revelation at 5/8th imo Also, our defence has been so poor for such a long time, we MUST have focused on that this off-season. I truly believe with Austo gone (defensively) and a far, f...

Re: Joe Tapine open to move into Canberra Raiders front row

Its sounding more and more like Ricky is going to pick 5 forwards and have them float from position to position. This worries me a little. I hope is more a case of Ricky trying the different options so that he can pick the best combinations. IMO "forwards" is too broad mate. How many times have you...

Re: Joe Tapine open to move into Canberra Raiders front row

This excites me. Playing mobile forwards up the middle to shake the Faiders tag and use speed to combat the wrestle in the game makes sense to me. We were pretty amazing at rolling up the middle back in the day with Germ, Schif, Tongue, etc. That said, this is all-in for Ricky imo, a last roll of th...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2019

Croker needed to move to the wing 5 years ago, it's just "one punch too many" I think. We have forgotten the emotional toll it would have taken on Sticky to move on players like Campo, Shillo, Fensom, etc. They all had to go, but they were all lovely club-men, that stuff is soul destroying. I think ...

Phil Graham for mine, scored some tries that were up there with Mullins.

I think he's the first player I ever saw kick into the goal, get dragged out over the touchline, come back in and score.

Scintillating stuff.

Re: Rapana to miss six months with shoulder injury

All this tells me is how horribly underpaid Rapana is. I think the 350k might be the max value you can claim against, not his salary. Fair enough. He contributes far more than some of our squad on 1.5x, 2.0x as much is all I guess I'm whinging about. He fights on every hit-up, makes hard yards, is ...
