Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
Would not be a good signing imo. Looks like he’s finished as an edge forward and now a middle moving forward. Yea totally understand this viewpoint but I reckon his form could be the system rather than papalii losing the ability to play edge. He looked very average at times at the warriors (when th...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
Any thoughts on Brandon smith coming to Canberra as a 50min hooker rotation? The Raiders have been incredibly vocal about the type of player they approach as a recruiting target. Brandon Smith would be at the very bottom of that pile...like if you had a pile of 400 names and below it you dug a 5 me...

Agree, and I reckon Wayne would have a better chance of a ring with Moses, Brown, Gutherson/Talangi, than he would with a 35 year old Cody Walker, Dodd and Latrell.

it will be brilliant if Bennett pulls out on souths now, although I think Parra would be quite dangerous with him at helm working with Moses, Brown etc

Corey due back, or near to it. Not sure he goes straight back into firsts, though. No, wouldn't be surprised if he gets big minutes in nsw cup for a couple of weeks. Might be a good opportunity to see Puru get some first grade minutes in the middle 14. Starling 15. Mariota 16. Mooney 17. Puru Bit m...

Re: Jordan Rapana vows to retire a Raider
He is currently our best winger, with Savage our 2nd. And our best fullback. And probably our 3rd best centre. agree, i get that its probably time for Stewart and Asomua in 2025, but if those guys are having a rough patch and need a few weeks back down in grade(or injured), Rapana is who i want tem...

Exactly, he's done it a million times, will play one like that then go and be one of our best players in the next couple of games The sort of inconsistency you can build a premiership around hey. Re: 2024 Canberra Raiders NSW Cup
Haven't seen much of him but from what i have seen he looks quite good imo.
Wouldn't be surprised if he is a replacement for Schiller in the top 30 or on a development deal, a guy that can play 5/8, centre and fullback and possibly wing would be quite a handy bench/squad option if he keeps improving

I reckon their biggest problem is the pack(outised of AFB and Tohu) Last year Jackson Ford was playing the house down, this year he's been, well ****'s And i reckon Niukuore is a massive loss, last year he was so hard to handle such a massive threat outside johnson that meant defenders couldnt just ...

Rick's reverted to what he knows, grind ball, we have zero structure so probably more chance of keeping within 20 this way. I suppose he was never going to dump his two most experienced spine players in Levi and Starling despite how putrid they were with the other spine members available. Some of th...

Hookers really the only position that can make a significant difference imo. we'll see if Levi really was hooked or if Stuart just noticed he wasn't keeping up and gave him a breather(not keeping up after 20 odd minutes isnt nrl standard but i have a feeling Stuart will see what he wants to see in r...

BadnMean, with the young criticism, you’re right, he does an insane amount of scramble work but he is playing to 1/10th of what we have seen him play. He just isn’t delivering. A week or two in Reggies might wake him up. He is well below par atm. Yeah Youngs in poor form no doubt but i reckon our h...

Our best season overall recently but especially from our Hookers coincided with Ennis being a coaching consultant, I think he then went to Parramatta where Reed Mahoney and Parra looked very good, Sharks last year where they finished 5th and Manly this year(currently 4th)

Sandon Smith from the chooks is a guy I'd be keen to pursue as a 9. Cotric's problem is he went to Sydney/Bulldogs. He lost direction being away from Mum, didn't really fit in and worst the dogs training ( or his away from the club training with mansour etc) changed his shape and style. I've seen this notion thrown around quite a bit that the dogs move ruined his c...

I like schiller, have wanted him to see more first grade for some time but I kind of get why we wouldn't want to pay too much for him, I reckon his best position is right centre and the problem is he ain't better than matty Timoko so you wouldn't want to overspend. Also think Asomua's style and phys...

If we ever have a game officiated by Badger, hold down all day, have your hands all over the ball and know she will never make a call on the fly. Last week were were awesome spreading the ball and creating space for our outside backs. This week we continually turned it back inside and didn't get any decent ball to our wingers. Honestly Whitehead can't just walk into the starting 13. Hosking's has been brilliant . He has to retain the right side 2nd row position. Smithies is our lock , which means Horse moves to the front row. Guler to drop out. We are developing into a good team , we have strong platform with our forward...
