I cant find the post where i talked abou it, but i remember in his first game for the club, he won us a penalty, gave the Titoooons player a mouthful, and then faked throwing at him, and when said titooons player flinched, he laughed in his stupid **** face From that momemt John Bateman has had my ...

Re: Broncos knew they had secured a star in Anthony Milford

Our plan with Milford was to always get him the ball in space, Brisbane have always given him the ball and asked him to make the space/play. Completely against his strengths. Hes very shaun johnsonesque, get him in an environment with a dominant half that pulls the strings and just let's them inject...

I quite like both calls TBH, if Lui and Sia hold there own Papa, Horse and Guler should dominate that storm bench (B smith is quality but the rest are fairly ordinary)

Re: 2019 NRL Finals Week 1 - Teams and Game Day

This is why I didn't want us playing the Roosters week 1. Or at all really. Yup quite clearly the best team in the comp, was always far happier playing Melbourne in Melbourne . If we beat the storm it's quite likely melbourne play the roosters in the prelim isn't it? Provided they get through week ...

Re: Hudson Young suspended for eight weeks

And that's a fair point. Except that there was no evidence of contact with the eye, he denied doing it and the alleged victim denied it happened. There is not a court in the world that would convict on that basis. Absolutely zero chance. I think Young is a straight out dirty player. I believe that ...

Fair, I just don't think you should be able to be found guilty of eye gouging when you didn't actually eye gouge Is everyone that takes a swing and misses now getting charged with striking? What’s the judiciary supposed to do? Let him off because Pompey says so when every man and his dog can see what happened in the vision plain as day? Result - every charge now goes to the judiciary and they bring their opponent to help get them off. Doesn’t matter if you’re guilty, just who your fri...

But there wasn't any reaction on the field either. Not even holding his eye or getting a water bottle to wash it out. If you get a finger in the eye you are going to touch it in some way.
Exactly, he may have tried to gouge him but he clearly didn't actually contact the eye

Kiwi, i dont think the fact the Young wasnt successful with his attempt at an eye gauge will hold as much sway as you think it will. The lack of reaction is simply explained by saying, try as he might, and BOY did he try, thankfully Hudson Young didnt get the players eyes. I dont think that saves h...

I actually think hes a fair chance of getting off, or at least a much lighter sentence than people are expecting. Re: Rapana eyes Japan rugby union switch

If he goes there, bags some cash and then returns it’s probably the best outcome for him and us. Yup, means we get our guy for less as we're only paying him for half a season but rapana still gets his much deserved pay day, normally you'd worry that we'd miss him early on in the season but I think ...

It's a tough one, a couple of really dumb plays today but I reckon if Bateman gives him the ball on that last play of the game instead of going to Rapana hes a big chance of coming up with a diamond there, hes incredibly tough to handle in that situation close to the line and if he didn't score hims...

Harsh call to be penalised in possession for an incorrect play the ball, you'd find 50 of them in any game if you wanted too, in fact Tapau played the ball about 20 times and I'd be surprised if his foot touched the ball in any of them i thought it was the right call, it was an especially egregriou...
