Re: 2019 Rd 14 V Sharks: Game Day

Well, the referees and the NRL seem to think it was fair game. And they’re wrong. If you haven’t noticed, they’re often wrong. Every Monday they have a press conference admitting a few mistakes. But they admit every week they don’t cover every mistake either. And they're not robots.. referees aren'...

They're NOT fair game for an illegal hit to the head. That's why the players ran in, because their halfback copped a shot to the head!
If the contact to the head was that bad, why was he not penalised, and has no case to answer (for that incident) from the match review committee?

Re: 2019 Rd 14 V Sharks: Game Day

If someone is on the ground they are NOT fair game. Yes, they are. By rule. The tackle had not been completed, just as Sezer at that point had a right to get up and run, or throw a pass, Fifita has a right to finish the tackle Fifita's forearm lightly brushing Sezer's head in the course of his comp...

We have the second best defence in the league, are in the top four, Croker has scored nearly half our team's total points and is our top try scorer, and has come up with some clutch plays to win a few of our matches this year (be it intercepts, goal kicks, one-on-one strips, etc). Papa would need to play many more seasons to catch Croker’s loss record of 128 games. Croker has a good 30 game loss lead on him. Can anyone point to a Raider who has captained or played in more losses than JC? My point is if you hang around a long time you do rack up lots of personal records but t...

Agree with that, Bone. In regard to Mitchell, there must be more to it. Everyone loves him so there’s no way they dropped him purely on that first game. I think the inconsistencies between Freddy’s and Brandy’s comments about in the week afterwards indicates a fair bit more is going on behind the s...

Re: Canberra Raiders open Jordan Rapana contract talks ahead of his injury return

There are a heap of players in the club's history you would've thought would never leave but they end up going. Schif and Wiki come to mind. But Schif was a Queenslander, and I remember a special they did on him years ago and recall his missus saying she didn't like the cold. I always assumed he wo...

BJ’s Instagram suggests he’s already back in the gym, doing some work. I think he’ll be sweet. Assuming BJ comes back... Cotric, BJ, Croker, Simonson and Rapana to fill 4 spots - if we’re unable to fit them all and given Simonson is probably half the price of the rest, it’s Croker that misses out f...

Re: Canberra Raiders open Jordan Rapana contract talks ahead of his injury return

He won't be biding his time that long. Why? Who's he replacing? He will replace Croker or BJ after next year, probably earlier. The club isn't stupid, they won't let a then 21 year old Origin player with 100 first grade games leave in preference for two players who will be on the declinine. If Cotr...

There must be a big chance BJ never makes it back. Have you heard anything to suggest that? The club has been quiet on him but I see some are speculating he might be back this year. Broncos getting smoked by Parra! I hate both teams, but seeing the Donkeys lose to the Titans last week and the Eels this week is fantastic.

Might also make the Eels over-confident against us in a few weeks. They've been hot and cold all year.

If Cotric gets dropped, it will be in keeping with the tradition that the few times a Raider ever gets selected for NSW, they get scape-goated after 1 game, ala Campese, Dugan, Ferguson, O'Hara. The only chance of a Raider getting back in the NSW team (or getting selected at all) seems to be to go t...

This agenda posting of an epic scale. I actually thought we lacked a ton of creativity and big part of that was how slow the service was out of dummy half. We again struggled inside the attacking 20 imo. The second half was especially flat in attack. Especially at the start of the second half when ...
