Re: 2019 Rd 23 V Sea Eagles: Teams and Previews

Assuming Tapine (ribs) and Rapana (burst blood vessel) are out injured, I'd pick: 1. Nicoll-Klokstad 2. Cotric. I know he had three weeks off, but he needs to find form real fast. 3. Croker 4. Leilua 5. Simonsson 6. Wighton 7. Sezer 8. Papalii 9. Hodgson 10. Soliola 11. Bateman 12. Whitehead 13. Sut...

Good. Has been a spectator for most of the game IMO.

With Tapine off as well, we might be a chance of winning this.

Well done, Tapine. You left us a man down for 10 minutes and now we're a man down on the bench. **** him off just on ROI grounds IMO.

I've had it with Tapine. Release him to ESL or a low order NRL side. Enough.

Wigthon needs a huge kick up the **** and I doubt that Ricky is the man to deliver it.

Considering how much the boys have shot themselves in the foot, I still think we have a chance to reel the Storm back in.

2020 membership pack wishlist

The folks at Raiders HQ might be thinking about placing orders for merchandise to place in next year's membership packs. In case they're stumped though, here is our chance to let them know what's on our wish lists. For me, the bumper sticker is a must. For something different, I suggest an inflatabl...

I hope Whitehead contests the charge because the 75 carry-over points could be an issue in the finals. With Tapine back and the option of bringing in either Young or Havilii, we can cover for him if it goes wrong even though we're talking Storm and Manly. People can forget about playing Tapine on th...

After the Warriors, we've got the Roosters at home, followed by Storm in Melb and then Manly at home. I'd wait until the Manly game before bringing him back. If we signed Sezer for $700k or less, it's pretty low risk. Worst case scenario we wouldn't need to carry much on our cap. Pretty good insurance policy for any number of things that could have happened. I’d be surprised if another club couldn’t find $550k for Sezer. Plenty of other average halves i...

Big vote of confidence in Oldfield despite his errors in attack against the Tigers. There must have been some temptation to bring back Seb Kris and I would not be surprised if he's a late switch. That said, Oldfield has a habit of making long breaks near the middle and has the respect and confidence...

I'm very pleased to hear the club wants to keep Sam Williams. He's the best back up half in the business and can do a job in firsts in the event of injuries. I know he'd prefer to play firsts full time... but he's a very valuable member of the squad as one of the top three halves. Ditto. I don't th...

I don’t think there’s much danger of that. The Raiders were the only team willing to pick him up. He was going to play Queensland Cup this year.

I don't know how often this still happens, but they used to lease the big screen to sports grounds outside of Canberra. They've now either doubled the earning potential or replaced an ageing screen that can't be transported anymore.

Oldfield has been playing FB at Mounties when Simmonsen is up in FG, so easier just to slide him in there if an injury to CNK. I've picked Oldfield on the bench. We have lost some dire games because a centre was injured and the pack had to be reshuffled with Bateman going to the backs. He can play in the centres, but we lose a lot when he moves out there. Oldfield can cover centre and wing and if CNK gets injured, Cotric or...

Sutton shouldn't be anywhere near the squad at this point. I appreciate he's playing in a better competition, but he wouldn't be in the top ten for English props at the moment. If there are ten better props in the Superleague than Sutton, we seriously need to get back over there with our chequebook...
