Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Game Day
Before I watch the game back, can someone give me the executive summary as to how we won that because at the ground I was too busy getting my lid off.

Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Game Day
Just back from the hill at Brookie.
You know it is a good night at the office when the shirts are off and Manly fans are so triggered they are chucking cans.
Hahaha what a beautiful night.
Enjoy.

Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Game Day
I like that Papa and Tapine are being split up.
Also *On paper* Mooney, Ata and Papa is a lot of punch to bring off the bench.
Now watch us get rolled by the Manly pack lol

I live 5 mins from Brookie and it is pissing down here. Forecast suggests that it is not going to let up all day either.
Looking forward to getting rinsed both on the field and on the hill tonight.

This is a good discussion about squad composition but Sorry can we all circle back to the part when Whitehead declared that we are still on track for premiership glory this year.

Re: Raiders are on the right track
Based on the Brisbane game - sure. Based on the Cronulla game - nahhh. Look, I don't think many if any fans would have been sharpening their pitchforks after a comfortable-but-not-humiliating loss against the Broncos. A loss where young Chevy copped a hammering but kept getting up and getting stuck ...

Has anyone thought about Weekes at 9? Nah - I suspect Ricky is happy with the good job Danny Levi is doing. Was a bit off last week but so was Tarps. All good players have the occasional rough game. I think the more appropriate proposition in the case of your boy is all bad players have an occasion...

Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Teams and Previews *Teams p1
We have one relative strength which is our forward pack. I say relative because not infrequently they leave their superiority on paper and don’t show up. But anyway, insofar as we have any area of strength, it is our forward pack. The only hooker who has proven to be able to get the forward pack rol...

Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Teams and Previews
I brought it up a fortnight ago but was assured he was going great guns but is anyone else concerned about Kris? His counterpart Timoko is looking good even in well beaten sides but Seb looks anonymous most of the time. I’m not calling for his dropping or anything like that I am just wondering if t...

Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Teams and Previews
Smelly will come in, we are lacking experience so it may come in handy. Woolford needs to come in. Its been 8 weeks of Levi. He is upholding his true form that he has displayed his whole career. Woolford isnt THE answer but he is definitely up a rung from the worst hooker in the comp. And I would s...

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day
Levi is nauseatingly bad. Never want to see him in green again. When it's all said and done and the careers are in the books, we're going to have to have a serious chat about Glenn Buttriss's strangehold on being the least talented footballer to ever play 100 games. Glen Buttriss is Steve Walters c...

Re: Coaching issues
As I said the other week. In the 20 we scrap, fight, grind and bleed for every rare try we score. Meanwhile, even bad teams just stroll right through us with rudimentary attacking shapes. So our attack is more or less trash and our defence is more or less trash too. Sometimes against poorer teams we...

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day
I couldn’t give a **** about losing the game. I had zero expectations and our spine has about 20 games of experience. But being inexperienced doesn’t explain or excuse paper thin defence and the same putrid non-existent attacking structure we have seen for 10 years. Sharks have done pretty much not...

I can’t get over the fact there were Raiders pundits parading around gloating and acting as if they were vindicated about their “Levi Island” bs on the basis of about 3 games where he wasn’t complete trash. In all seriousness though, who was padding around gloating about Levi that wasn’t either a b...

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day
Pretty wild how a coach can coached 500 games and just never bother being that fussed about learning how to coach a team to attack in the 20m zone.
It’s a pretty bloody essential part of the game but he just doesn’t seem fussed. It’s always like an afterthought.

Re: Hooker for 2025 and future years
Our hooker stocks are dire and they make me sad. Number one action item should be the banish Starling to cup. He offers nothing and our attack becomes even more cluttered and disorganised when he comes on. Number two action item is to get Woolford in there. He is no world beater but he is the best o...

Dogs do look improved and tbh so they should be. They have bought a substantial amount of rep talent over the past couple years in JAC, Crichton, Kikau, Burton, Mahoney etc and it was probably overdue they started climbing up the ladder.

Don’t understand how even rubbish teams can make it look so effortless in attack and carve us up meanwhile all we can manage is scrap and grind and toil. To be clear Broncos aren’t a rubbish team, just making the point that even for example the Titans last week looked more polished in attack than we...
