Re: Canberra Raiders miss out on David Fifita
And then in true NRL style a bottom feeding club like the Knights gets done for salary cap breaches. You can't make this **** up! 3rd party deal, which is Ponga and his management, not a salary cap breach as such and definitely not by the club well yeah unless it was actually a deal started by the ...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
Damien Cook? Could be on the chopping block at souths. They'll need to move some freight. Could offer a stop gap for us. I haven't seen him play this year, but from what I've read age seems to have caught/be catching him. I reckon he'd be wanting more than we're willing to pay to get him here as we...

Re: Canberra Raiders miss out on David Fifita
It’s funny - when I heard he was meeting with a Sydney club I immediately thought “I bet it’s the **** Roosters. They’re losing JWH, Manu, Sualii, Keary, Crichton, Tupou - there’s about 10 million dollars freed up. Why can’t it be someone like Penrith, they never buy any elite talent.” Then I find ...

We've had some shockers. Orford, C.Scott, Aekins, C.Frawley, FPN, Flanagan, Gubb That's a conservative list too... For every player that comes good there are at least two who do nothing or just disappear. Then there is the even more depressing list of players we let go or missed signing who went on...

Great story, the whole thing. He’d been told he wasn’t required, as Sheens had decided to include Paul Osbourne. He had gone out the night before with Mark Corvo… woke up with hangovers. Then Corvo had to make two trips to the car miles from the stadium to get Davico’s boots and mouthguard. last ti...

well actually it was a bit of both, we don't have a guy who can pin the opposition to start their sets in their coners so therefore additional pressure on our defence, backs who can't roll us out of yardage further pressuring our forwards etc etc ah why waste my time.... It’s a ****ing cool event mate - I heard there was a fairly major course change this year so not sure how much the weather will affect it. It’s not your standard MTB race, it’s a goddam goat track in places and you will be throwing the bike over the shoulder at times! Absolutely cracking adventure....

I just love that Souths fans don't seem to realise how bad their roster is. They assume because they are a "big club" they can fix it all with cash. Nowhere have I ever seen any discussion of what their cap situation might be, or why they might be overpaying for hacks - except on the Rugb...
