Re: Canberra Raiders fume over $10,000 fine for trainer
I honestly do not get the hate for Luai at all. He just seems like a chilled out nice dude. Following his social media and it looks like a lot of Raiders players feel the same way. Have you seen him play? He is a massive pest on the field. Yeah he's a gun. But honestly for me I take way more stock ...

I think there's enough improvement to be had across some other key positions in our team that we can still beat Eels and Souths without CNK, provided Aekins can be reasonably solid.
We really need Jack to be at his elite best in the coming weeks. For me thats the key now.

Personally I don't see a lot wrong with the way the Panthers carry on. Makes the game more interesting when there's that element of attitude around teams and you can build mini rivalries from incidents like this.

Re: 2020 Rd 6 V Eels: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
I would have CHN on the bench ahead of Kris. One is a centre who can play back row. The other is a backrower who can play centre. You are guaranteed to need the forward in your bench rotation, not necessarily the back. I have been a bit surprised by the comments on Kris. Firstly, that it was such a...

Obviously the major difference here is that they have been relocated during a major pandemic, a time that has been especially tough on many people's mental health due to lockdowns and other restrictions. Its not really comparable to people relocating for work while the world is operating as normal.

While there are a couple puzzling selections some of the reaction here is probably a bit over the top. We are still early in the season and we have mostly been going pretty well, not really any need for wholesale changes at this point.

Would like to see CHN come in for Havili also. Not sure what the continued thinking of both Starling and Havili is.

Yeah no need for a major reshuffle. This is already a big blow without moving others around. Aekins gets it. That's why he is here.

Re: Is Canberra Raiders' premiership window closing?
Exactly they aren't excuses. Obviously HIAs and injuries happen but to win a premiership its not so much about learning to deal with them than just crossing your fingers and hope it doesn't happen to you at critical times or to particular players. There's a bunch of players we could have lost to a H...

Re: Is Canberra Raiders' premiership window closing?
I really think some of the backline issues are being a bit overstated on here as well in terms of importance. There's no doubt that its the weakest area of our team, but combined with the talent we have across the rest of the park I certainly feel there's enough there to win a premiership.

Re: Jarrod Croker
All of our outside backs are a bit of a problem right now. Picking Croker as the one to single out just seems to be continuing some strange agenda a portion of our fans have held for a while. I don't think dropping him solves the issues we have out there. We probably have enough talent in other part...

Re: CHN and Horsburgh
So taking this whole thing back a step or two, did anyone see NSW Cup this week and see how Hors played? Can see that he scored a try in a loss but no idea on individual stats further than that. CHN as 18th man this week may be a sign that he's closing in on a spot again. Interested to know if Hors ...

Re: CHN and Horsburgh
Unpopular opinion but I am throwing it out- Horsburgh is massively overrated on this site. He has talent and is willing but he has limited control over his aggression which leads to poor discipline. In his 20 odd appearances he has far to many errors per game and his tackle efficiency would be down...

Worth mentioning that Penrith have been building all week on the 30 years since their first premiership beating Ricky and Canberra. Fair to say they have had smashing the Raiders in the sights of their players and fans building up for a while now so a bit of arrogance and niggle is to be expected.

Re: 2021 Rd 5 V Panthers: Game Day
These types of games its very easy to be disappointed and upset at the end. And we have every right to be and I won't take away from anyone who feels that way. For me I'm taking some perspective. This is a team who has lost only once in their last 23 or something. It was a huge occasion for them ton...

Glad to get to half time here. Not a great first stint from our boys. Some poor errors from some experienced heads havent done us very well. To be perfectly honest the period we were on top you could probably say Penrith were well below their normal standards too. CNK out is a massive loss. The resh...

Re: CHN and Horsburgh
We always knew with the amount of forwards we have that someone quality would be missing out each week. Its also probably safe to say it wouldn't be the Corey's right now had they not made some poor decisions in the off season. At the moment it's hard for them to find their way in due to the fact we...
