Re: The Politics Thread 2024
If someone did or did not get raped at parliament house during albos run will play 0 bearing on whether I vote for him. Frankly, using that as a reason to vote for or against a particular party is odd to me. If the elected representative raped someone then obviously that would play a very big factor.

Starling is slow to pass it’s annoying.
I feel that it’s now an appropriate time to remember Waddell the slowest ever like he was playing union out there.
And a decent amount of posters here liked him I only presume due to the general bias for raiders juniors…

Hudson young will do me. As an average second rower he is great. As your strike second rower he is poopoo in the head. His two burrow over attempts were just pathetic ball stopping bad plays. His negative play to start our last set really set the tone for their try (and to go with fogartys horrid ki...

Or perhaps we just need more houses? Yes we do. Unequivocally. But why does that mean that demand side levers should be off the table if we have good basis to conclude pulling them will result in more equitable outcomes too? Also for the other commentators comparing schiller to savage you are dreaming.. Savage is way more dangerous in attack and imo he is a more effective defender. Savage has played more than twice as many games. More importantly being a consistent starter in 19 games in a season. Schiller has had a ha...

I didn’t watch the game but I have seen the highlights and it is baffling to me people are saying Schiller should be dropped for Hoppa on the basis of defences Schiller let in 2 “soft” tries The first I can live with, he made the right read but just didn’t commit fully. Like a speed bump Lockyer.
Coming is as the second man as someone’s already hit schiffa a small man and made him stumble. Still gets trampled.
And qlders still try and argue he was a better rugby league player then John’s.

My few thoughts on some players:- Guler - His play the balls / mistakes arent what kills me. Although they dont appear to be particular good. For someone so pedestrian in attack he is really pedestrian in defence. Since he isn't young anymore it is a whats the point unless everyone else is injured s...

I didn’t see last weeks game.
Was whitehead awesome and zac hosking garbage?
Zac hosking was one of (if not our) best over the first two weeks and whitehead was well of the pace last year in liability territory…
Or is this just another Ricky favourite suck it up thing..

Hosking and coaching favourites
I’m actually a fan of Ricky’s coaching, despite his flaws, people seem to forget that we were hot garbage for most of 20 years until he showed up. That said his stubbornness with his favourites are a problem. Imo Hopoate should have been dropped before cotric and either way cotric or hoppa should be...

Friendly reminder The cap is 11.6m across a 30 man squad That’s 386k each if averaged evenly Some of those numbers are on the nose but if you’re a starting calibre player in the nrl with an 11.6m cap, you’re going to get 350-400k That’s just the economics of it now. It wasn’t that long ago we were ...

Cotric is a very good defensive winger
I don’t know why our back up winger is starting over a superior player, hopefully being the tigers we still have enough juice..

Guler and Hoskings are paid way overs on that.
TBH I like hoskings but you can't tell me going out and paying 450k on a 5th string second rower was a moneyball play.
