Greens smashing tax reform... tbh labor should put through the shift to 30% tax rate from 45-200k and eventually expand from there. Happy to have company tax rates increased back to 30%. Greens have a problem with lumping everyone into the corporations / billionaires brackets when they clearly aren'...

Re: The Politics Thread 2022
How is blaming a 3 week old government for long standing problems (fault lying with state and federal on both sides - ie liberal and labor) a 'good conversation'? I'm not quite sure how my innocuous comment, dripping with sarcasm set you off into calling me a partisan zombie... And I wasn't calling...

Not sure who else needs to hear this but I know at least one poster who does: If someone puts forward an opinion or idea, the legitimacy of that opinion or idea is not contingent on how many times someone has voted Liberal, or Greens, or Labor, or UAP, or the ***** bullet train for Canberra party. ...

5.2% increase to the minimum wage just announced. Good, fair result in my opinion. Indeed - interesting thing about min wage in sydney is you don't see people taking or working for the minimum wage in this labor market anyways. The world is going to be very interesting as the RBA raises interest ra...

Yes the ALP has completed screwed up the Energy sector in the past 3 weeks. It’s not the governments job to keep the lights on in the first few weeks. Bias Origin commentary (on both sides) has been a thing for channel 9 for as long as I can remember and to be honest, I don’t mind it. The passion, particularly in todays “no punch, no heavy tackle” era, helps to provide additional entertainment. Who can forget one of the legendary moments when Mar...

Qlders in commentary are poor imo. When qld are winning - you don’t need to know what qld need to do to win, they are already winning.. Sideline / expert opinion should be about the adjustments the other side “losing” side needs to make… not just whom you are going for… Wendell on triple m was a bi...

Re: 2022 State of Origin I: Blues V Maroons
What a great game. Shame about the result, but QLD win well deserved. If you ever want an example why NSW just doesn’t get Origin, it’s the treatment of Jack Wighton prior to the game. The guy is a Clive Churchill and Dally M winner, who has probably had only 1 bad game playing for NSW (in 2020 whe...

Re: 2022 State of Origin I: Blues V Maroons
How good was Wighton? Man what a game. The halves didn't really come alive until the last 15mins and the forwards were controlled in the ruck for long periods. Need to change some personnel in the middle. Paulo was terrible. The halves just need to be better. Cleary left as an easy target as the so...

What is with the schiller hype..
I hope he goes well, but he doesn't appear to be a gamebreaker, I would personally prefer to have rapana out there.

Also with roosters missing quite a few..
The winning without wighton theory is a bit of red herring for me…

When to kick a penalty goal - when to keep pushing
I am sure this frustrates others, but I am going to keep it simple here. If the scorecard is:- - -18 tap - -16 tap - -14 tap (consider PG on game circumstances) - -12 tap - -10 tap - - 8 PG - - 6 tap - -4 tap - -2 PG 0 PG - +2 tap - +4 tap - +6 PG - +8 tap - +10 tap - +12 PG Then you should tap rega...

Kris and citric were far better defensively then timoko and rapana Maybe moving kris to the right is a problem… just though it’s worth pointing out that kris has been playing very well lately.. Timoko has never struck me as a smarter footballer then kris… He has better footwork and a higher strength to weight ratio - but I like kris in almost everything else… I am also not sold on keeping croker out of the side.. imo the centre’s is a three way battle between the three of them and should b...

Re: Coaching issues
Probably just a coincidence but we look a much better team with JW out of the side. My theory is when he’s in all of the responsbility falls on his shoulders, and as he lacks some of the skills and situational awareness of a half he is naturally out if his comfort zone and this leads to poor decisi...

I really enjoyed his performance, like his dad really good solid player, good crisp wide service and very direct running when he goes. Tbh I liked his game more then starlings. That is a great contribution Hong Kong Raider. Thank you. Interesting that Papa and Taps not rated by Gallen in the Top 5 Props this year. Raiders spending focus is on 9 and 6 which looks right. We have underspent on the 1 and 7 positions but the salaries are probably right for the 2022 contributio...
