Re: 2019 Rd 15 V Eels: Teams and Previews

Tim Sheens is at the Origin of Canberra Raiders ripples Like a rock dropped in Lake Burley Griffin, ripples from the 1989 Green Machine are still being felt in State of Origin. The Raiders players that day have now coached 67 Origin matches. "I don't know what you could put it down to," Ricky Stuar...

Re: Wighton, Papalii selected for Origin II

I mean let's completely disregard the fact he's now playing career-best football, he's now the major strike weapon AND focal point of the Canberra Raiders attack, yeah sure... his best position is centre.

So was Laurie Daley's.

Re: Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart calls on Andrew Barr to build new Canberra stadium

I have been to bankwest twice and imo it is easily a better view then canberra. Canberra has great atmosphere from the viking clap and horn of helmsdeep. But the incline is pretty average at canberra. Agreed. Canberra stadium the grandstand is too far back compared to the modern rugby league ground...

Re: Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart calls on Andrew Barr to build new Canberra stadium

I loved BankWest Stadium. Particularly the bit where I paid $25 for a general admission ticket and then sat on the halfway line to watch the game from the $50 seats as nobody was there checking where I should be sitting... Good view of the game, decent food prices and pretty good facilities. Thumbs...

You just get your people to do it for you. It'd be the way forward, for sure, but no. We've just moved house and realised that all of our old furniture was .... deeply crap. It's an absolutely ludicrous suggestion, what "attacking options" does Starling provide that Hodgson or Havili (for that matter) don't??

Honestly, I'll just keep on with my process of going outside to check the sky colour everytime you tell me it's blue. They let you go outside? Look, that's not important. The important thing here is that I'm capable of getting outside if I really need to. Provided the ankle monitor is on Is that a ...

Ricky SHOULDN'T replace Havili with Starling either. In a perfect game, if Starling plays he sits on the bench for 80min and Hodgson plays the whole thing, but if Havili is there he still gets minutes up the middle, and they're quality minutes too.

I think it's 3 in for the Lolo deal isn't it? Really you'd be paying 1.3+ for him if he hit the open market. So it's pretty quickly going to give a positive return. The other thing in favour of these deals is the rules around medical retirements and jobs post footy seem to be a bit more relaxed the...

Williams or Sezer?

He's literally one of the worst halfbacks on the list, and that's taking into account a number of second stringers listed. No question the standard of halves has dipped significantly over the decade, but that to me says even more about his level. We need a better halfback in order to win a premiers...

If Latrell Mitchell and Dylan Walker, the “form half of the comp” were seriously dropped from Origin for one poor game in Brisbane, then it sums up everything wrong with NSW and their culture in one foul swoop Doesn’t matter the rhetoric they spew out at us when they win, nothing has changed in twen...

Of course he would. Any elite player who is locked into an awful contract for the next five years and essentially the rest of their career would be mad not to
