Re: 2022 New halfback?

Is anyone concerned about the complete lack of decent quality halves coming through? I mean, there's the Cleary's and Walker's as an exception, but these are few and far between. None of the other positions appear to be affected too badly, plenty of decent forwards, outside backs, hookers coming th...

Re: 2021 Rd 11 V Storm: Teams and Previews

Surely Croker can't actually replace Kris. Kris is developing into a real strike option in a backline otherwise seriously lacking in them. Kris won't miss any games unless he gets injured or has a serious slump of form. He is a first grade player and the future for us. I am a huge fan. I do like Kr...

Re: 2021 Rd 11 V Storm: Teams and Previews

I'll be honestly stunned if we keep them under 50 Reckon we'll see a pretty good effort from the Raiders this week. With so many players out and up against Melbourne this will be a backs to the wall kind of effort. Maybe not enough to get a win but they will avoid a blowout. Something like 26-12 lo...

I actually think of all the incidents involving Raiders players being charged on the week that Hodgson's was the worst and most avoidable. Agree. The other two were part of making a tackle. Hodgo was just stupid. Jack a bit lucky the outcome wasn't worse for Elliot. Would have copped more than 1 we...

I heard a funny analogy that f1 wouldn't put speed humps in to stop speed related crashes. They are both bad. Both can destroy a player's knee. Have a look at the Lindsay Collins vs Knights. Barnett does the same hip drop these players were penalised for. Collins knee joint was literally ripped out of the socket.

With George gone and potentially Hodgson and the Croker situations to be sorted, the money could be there for two fairly substantial signings No idea if those guys would want to come here and how they feel about Ricky Yep. So a helmet wouldn’t lessen the impact on the brain when a players head bounced off the turf after being tackled? Concussion isn’t caused by impact to the head It’s caused by the brain hitting the inside of the skull With or without a helmet, when your head bounces off the turf, the brain still sma...

This is the next step in the process. Players falling into tackles to instigate high contact then staying down to get a result from the ref.

Siliva as a running forward in the middle would have to be the most under rated player in the squad by the coaching staff imo. That forward rotation from the bench is all lumbering same same. Yep agreed he has that leg speed and hard to tackle, which is even more important with the rule changes The...

Queensland supporters took the expression "the home of rugby league" literally and haven't turned up. I'd really like a Magic round in Sydney and I'd go to every game. You'd find it is the same in Sydney. Probably worse, because Sydney is already oversupplied with games. The concept is th...
