Sounds like a salary cap rort. I can understand why Latrell knocked back $800k with that sort of money on offer.Nine NRL clubs are spending combined total of $252 million on high performance centres,

Re: Josh Papalii named one of the top five players of 2019
Bromich and Murray over Bateman? Seems odd. Cook over Hodgo is rubbish. Is this the Origin award or best NRL award? Cook had nothing at the end of the year, looked a bit out of ideas and 1 dimensional. Jack and Munster was a coin toss for most of the year, but Jack finished far better in the games ...

Re: Canberra Raiders sign Wigan Warriors half George Williams on three year deal
Given that Wighton had a much higher number of gets of the halves in 2019 it may not be as big an issue. Williams will get his chance to ease into the role.radicalraider wrote: ↑December 4, 2019, 8:01 pmIt's the take g Williams a while to get going and when he does we're still the miss sezer..

Re: 2019 in review - Sebastian Kris
I really liked the look of him. Not sure his future is at this club... in fact if he wants a genuine crack at FG it probably isnt with Curtis Scott on the books now. But i think he showed a bit of talent and i think if he gets a chance elsewhere he can have a solid NRL career. It's really hard to s...

Really not much to judge him on. Didn't look out of his depth which was a good sign. 3/10 is fair given the limited game time.

When do we play Ireland ? That's the mob that beat England in the lead to the Ashes. :) Yeah, that was a one dayer. IRL were given full test status in 2017 and have played 3 tests in total. Played 3..lost 3. PAK, AFG, ENG. Ah yeah, in the test they bowled England out for 80 odd in 1st innings but c...

Re: The Cricket Thread
It was a very disappointing series. Credit to Aussies for playing well but the opposition was very sub standard. To be fair they've not had a proper 1st class domestic series for a long time now so these guys are coming into test cricket with very little grounding. Such a shame to see a former top ...

5/10 simply because he didn't play much. Did a great job when called upon. Guys like this are valuable members of the squad. Reserve players who capably fill the gaps if needed.

Re: 2019 in review - Sam Williams
Thing I like about Sammy is that he doesn't go missing during a game. There were times when we needed a halfback to step up and Sezer just stuck to catch and pass. What stats can't tell you is how much help he was to Wighton when he was feeling his way at the start of the season at 5/8th. Sezer see...

Re: 2019 in review - Sam Williams
Did OK when he played, although the issues that prevent him being a good NRL half continue. Would be a 5 or 6 but only playing 10 games drops him down to a 4/10.

Got my kit today. I actually like the navy cap. Decent quality, good fit and the colour is a nice change up from the thousand green caps I already have.
