Re: Canberra Raiders set to extend Ricky Stuart’s contract to end 2022

This is Ricky's squad. A lot are coming off contract and/or looking to extend. They would want to be confident the guy they want to play for is going to be there for that new contract. Realistically there's minimal risk extending the coach another 2 years. It's not like he's going to get sacked next...

Re: The Cricket Thread

If neither score runs in the 2nd dig then Usi is likely the one to go. Wade saved by his 100 in the 1st test. A little perspective in that score though. It was made on a flat deck against a tired, undermanned England attack. Broad and Woakes the only front line bowlers. Wade's other 4 scores are 1,6...

Re: The Cricket Thread

At this stage Labuschagne must be retained when Smith returns. 2nd innings could decide who makes way. Usi is the one at risk because Marnus can slot straight into no3. They could always shift Usi to opener but very harsh to drop Harris after only one test. They decided to give him a go so must get ...

Re: The Cricket Thread

Looked pretty tough conditions to bat in. Great choice by Root to send Aussies in and his bowlers delivered the goods. The ball that got Head was as good as you will see. Plenty of credit to Warner and Labuschagne for their efforts. Poms turn now. If it’s similar tonight then they could struggle too...

When you consider some of the recent charges against players for late hits you would think Brown cops much worse. His was later and a shoulder charge.

Peachey as an investment, no.

Comes at too high a price for his contribution. Think you Can get a decent bench utility for far lower $$.

Losing Smith may have save Bancroft. With one forced changed the selectors will avoid making others to the batting line up. This is unfortunate as Harris is a far superior option to Bancroft. Statistically not much between them but technique wise its no contest. Harris has the makings of a good test...

I had been focussing on those still shots of Smith and his 'ear gouge' on Simo and wondering how he didn't get some sort of contrary conduct charge.
