Nowhere near worth what he was paid. In fact, except for 2 maybe 3 seasons, he's been paid either on potential or as reward for past glories. Happy to see him move on. Another few years of trying to manage the team's performance around Jack's deficiencies would have been depressing.

Decent backup. Normally goes alright for first 1 or 2 games then gets found out by opposition and his limitations in attack and defence get exposed.

Cleary's performance was the level I'd expect to see when needed by a million dollar plus player. He delivered when it mattered.
If you're not able to do that, your club is stupid paying that much.

The thing with the men's team stats is that we could have (should have?) finished around 10th-14th with them. And I suspect 8 or 9 times out of 10, we would. This year was an outrider, statistically.

Strange he was axed by the "football department" when the coach wanted to keep him on. What a setup they have there. I’m sure he’ll find work, but yeah it’s pretty ordinary work from the tigers to body over the HC’s head to sack an assistant he wants to keep Well they had to find enough s...

Some interesting takes on a good quality depth half, who has been chucked in the deep end this season. It would be a real shame for the club to lose Frawley. Quality depth? Absolute stop gap. It says a lot when he’s a stop gap for a Clive Churchill, Dally M 5/8th Wighton hasn't been that quality fo...

One other memory of the match was when Alana Kennedy thought she had headed in an own goal. Re: Coaching issues
I'm inclined to think the club should get some PR flunky to do the post match press conferences. For one, it would be less embarrassing for the club. Second, it would have the added advantage of having someone talking who might have a clue about fixing whatever the problems are with the team.

I'd guess there's an element of the likes of Chris Sutton (especially) and Peter Gough being allocated games where we play lowly ranked teams, and Gerard Sutton and Grant Atkins getting more when we play the top teams.

I think Croker's NRL career has maybe one game left. Our last home game, and perhaps only if we're either out of finals contention or entrenched in the eight.

Seriously, how is this team 5th? I'm struggling to think of more than a few games this season that we looked a top 4 contender. Wins over Broncos, Eels and Souths were very solid. Outside of that we've either won scrappy affairs or been blown away. Yet we see the same team trotted out each week. Ti...

What the *** is the plan here? Grind all our way to a respectable 28-10 loss? There's no plan b. There's no plan a, either. That was going to be my initial response but it's not true. Our plan A is to pass to a player running full tilt into the defensive line for 4 out of 5 plays. We had double the...

the best 2nd row prospect is Jack, by far. His running game and defense will be just as effective on an edge, and Jack has been stinking it up otherwise. Bring in Schneider at 6 and you get better production from everyone else, and the same production (without the stink) from Jack. I like this idea...

Attack decent enough, defence horrible, especially near our goal line. Why can't the Raiders defend grubbers into the in-goal? Haven't been able to for the last 20 years or so. Actually, that goes for the backline defence in general, been garbage forever. The Whitehead/Fogarty channel is an open inv...

After #4, there's got to be "Give the coach a multi year extension with a pay rise." After #5 (or simultaneously) we need "Sign one or more of the older players to a large multi year contract even though they are on the downhill slide and no other club is interested in them"

The raiders need to have a hard look at themselves. When they had to defend they were found wanting. There is still no one in the side who can manage and control the plays. The defence was alarmingly soft on 3 of the Dolphins' tries (at least). They more or less strolled through. What happened at h...
