Re: 2019 State of Origin II: Queensland V New South Wales

Agree with that, Bone. In regard to Mitchell, there must be more to it. Everyone loves him so there’s no way they dropped him purely on that first game. I think the inconsistencies between Freddy’s and Brandy’s comments about in the week afterwards indicates a fair bit more is going on behind the sc...

Re: 2019 State of Origin II: Queensland V New South Wales

The problem isn't so much the team as the fact it feels a bit like Freddie is panicking. Reminds everyone of every other Blues coach since pre-dynasty. But I don't think that's actually the case. Klemmer, Cotric and Haas are injured so those changes don't count. Turbo was always going to get back in...

Ok, so who is this number 7 the club can get here by June 30. There are about 3 halves in the entire league who are anywhere near the standard that people seem to expect from a half, it's the weakest the positions have ever been. 1. Do a deal with Wigan and get Williams here now. Trade players to E...

Im taking woolford over hodgson, wooldford was always very good for us. We know you're just stirring, mate. Even so, please don't. I’m taking Trevor Schodell over Ricky Stuart as our greatest ever halfback in club history. Now that’s an idea I can get behind! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KRViOM7_1a8

Re: Raiders greatest non-premiership winning players

Campo's best was basically two half seasons. You don't deserve to be compared to one of the greats on that basis. Aside from that he was bog ordinary, and this is prior to the injuries he sustained. True when speaking about careers but if we’re discussing peak periods then fair play. Loz was a lege...

Re: Raiders greatest non-premiership winning players

I think that you have to choose in terms of what they achieved while a Raider. Priddo was awesome, but didn't achieve a lot in green. Do people think that their team could reasonably win a premiership? Not one out of the box like the Tigpies one, but hit the season as favorite, finish top 2 and win...

Paul Vaughan off contract? he's in year 3 of his 3yr $1.75M deal. I'd pay him $2.1M for 3yrs. Nope. I see Vaughan regressing as a player with age compared to most props. Has always relied a lot on footwork, speed and power so he will be less effective post 30 Maybe, maybe not. Thing is a 3 year dea...

Given all the talent we're missing on the right edge - and remembering that Kris at right centre is essentially on debut - I would be placing Bateman right next to him as the right edge second rower. I don't like the idea of a defensive combination of Williams, Tapine and Kris much if I'm honest, I...

Seems unlikely Maloney would come here without getting paid really well. I’ve always been a fan of his but he’s been pretty poor this year. Not sure I’m on board with this idea. Feels like a desperate gamble that might undermine the culture the team has done a good job of building this season. Could...

Re: Croker for Blues right centre?

Billy Walker, I’m not saying he’s the next Meninga. The point is he’s been consistently good at NRL level for a long time. He scores, sets up tries, leads and is now a good defender. He can also kick goals if needed. I understand if Fittler chooses Cotric or someone for youth but, in a time when the...

First year in the NRL- he won't have faced a month of intense footy like that ever in the SL, I'm not surprised he had one slightly off game. He's a bit of a quiet achiever (unless you listen to the commentators, who also give him half of Young's plays) but he racks up some solid stats and for some...

I dont think i'd pick Croker, simply because as a sports fan im ageist AF. I know we need to manage the cap but Rapa is a must.

Got a little bit of knowledge about this and my impression is he really wants to stay. Not saying he'll sign for unders, just that he's not going to play hardball to squeeze every dollar out of the club.

Confident this can work for both parties.
