Re: Edwards-Raiders rumour a dud

The only way I can figure in my right mind that we're up against the cap ceiling is if we're still paying a portion of Boyd and Paulo But they were off contract, so that can't be the reason. The only explanation is gross managerial incompetence. If the cap truly is maxed out with us short a half (s...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2019

I’m not arguing against transparency. I agree that would be best for Raiders fans and an ethical balanced competition.

It’s not going to happen, it disadvantages those with the power.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2019

I can accept a $100k pay cut from a $500-600k/year contract or $200k off $1mil+/year... any more is just unrealistic. A player is lucky to go 10 years consistently in first grade... if you're in your mid 20s, at the peak of your earning potential, you may only have 3 or 4 years left... $300k over 4...

Didn't Tilse try and charge down a field goal and it bounced off his arms and went over. Maybe I'm getting muddled because when I played rugby one of my teammates was charging down a conversion and it ricocheted off his arms and went over - would have missed otherwise. If there were no grounds for the charges... wouldn't the charges have been thrown out of court? I'm not outraged by it or anything... but really, these sorts of events should have been left behind thirty years ago. No work place should be running these sorts of events. The NRL clubs have to realise...

Re: The most underrated player in Canberra Raiders history

There was a period of about a season when Bronson Harrison was very nearly the best forward in the NRL. I knew Chris O'Sullivan and his father and brother very well back in the day. Great player who wrung the most out of what he was blest with. There was also a lengthy period where Bronson Harrison...
