You'd have to think Saulo gets the nod. He's an old Knights boy and that will be a game within a game for him you would suspect

Re: 2024 Rd 1 v Knights: Teams and Previews
Surely Levi gets the starting nod over Woolford, with Starling on the bench? The Hosking call about centre is an interesting one; had not considered it. Would it be marking Best? Schiller had a great semi against them up there last year (albeit on the wing) and was solid in the second trial and pret...

Re: 2024 Trial 2 v Cowboys: Teams and Game Day *Teams p1*
We looked good in first half. Provided strange isn’t suspended he has to start. Chuck in taps, raps, Kris, horse… I say we start the season in better shape than last. Levi for sure with starling off the bench at hooker. Puru looked good. Smithies and Hosking strong when on and Hola I thought looked ...

Reserve graders really looking it in the second half. Does anyone really think Woolford is starting ahead of Levi ?!! Strange played himself into 6 with a cracker of a first half (subject to that dangerous tackle it doesn’t look great.) The Reggie’s looking very average against a first grade quality...

Pleased we didn't pay that for Luciano. Good player, but not 900k when you have a look at junior's coming through. It might also mean there is some life in CHN yet? It may also mean, as noted above, that our custom designed Fifita ramp will undoubtedly be dusted off and (Toyota) forklifted out of it...

I say pick him and next move NRL. This process is a shambles. Should be one rule for all end of story. Pick him Stick and make the NRL explain the ridiculousness and double standard.

Re: A hint to the starting squad?
I dont really see a lot of value in Rapana as an impact utility tbh He's a lunatic who i think his value is in that over a full 80 minutes he'll give you more than he'll take... off the bench, i think he's likley to try to do too much too quickly and frankly... that's when the Rapa experience can g...

Geez is there a more disliked former than Curtis Scott? I’m leaving Brett Finch out of this intentionally and for good reason. Before the really awful behaviour, I don’t think he was as disliked as Scott. *Waits for BJ to pull out and Danny Levi to step in and fight Scott….the GH would have a real ...

Crazy that Raiders players are now 3 from 3.
Scott; Starling and Wighton. All incidents where Police were found to be in the wrong in their actions.
Makes me wonder whether Papa actually yeeted the Nivea or whether there was a guy with exceptionally supple skin in AFP kit on a grassy knoll hmmm

Re: Canberra Raiders appoint new leadership managers
Plenty of work to be done in the next 2-3 seasons with such a young group of players coming through. Personally I liked the Elliott approach, signing Jason Smith to guide Todd Carney through the perils of getting regularly **** faced at Mooseheads. I thought that system worked out quite well. Sent ...

Re: Raiders reject request from Dragons to release Zac Woolford
If Saints really want him they should be signing him to a proper contract for 2025 and beyond. Looks like they just want him as a stopgap backup hooker for the season themselves. I'd be interested to know if we released him, he took up a year stopgap contract at the Dragons and started training wit...

I wouldnt bet against the guy myself. Might be that he's a newer version of Blake Austin but i think it's more likely with the defences keyed into trying to stop Walsh he'll continue to be an impact player for the Broncos. Yeh no doubt he benefits immensely from Walsh. I agree that whilst I think h...

I’d say Graham is in his ear and if he comes to OZ it will be with dragons.
I agree it’s looks like we are locked in with SSS now and can’t say I’m mad about it. If their development continues they too will be close to the cream of that crop of youngsters coming through.

Good luck to him but I'm not sure the pathway to NRL is any easier for him there either. Brian Kelly, Phillip Sami, Patrick Herbert, Jojo Fifita and Pereira all ahead of him. I think it is a very handy addition, particularly given the young guys coming through and the phase ...

Jnr’s biggest issue when he was young was that he didn’t talk. His schoolboy Union and League days where he was dominant, he was very quiet, never speaking up. Like almost mute. He is an Eddie’s boy so awash with Stuart/ Madge/ Giteau connections. I think Madge was initially involved in him going to...

I would argue sometimes it’s easy to pick which players could be a good coach and who couldn’t. Most of the time for most of players it’s impossible to know. Jack Wighton has a monkey clapping cymbals together in his head. He’s no future tactical coaching genius. Cam Smith could have been an accoun...

What ever happened to Andrew Dunneman after that whole episode? That's a name I'd completely forgotten. Can’t underestimate role of toots and Smell (and Raps) as ‘culture’ guys.
Happy for them to be around the club in some type of capacity. The club is much bigger than just the first grade team and having their commitment working across that spectrum is a good thing imo.

I can’t see a team with that spine finishes above 14th at absolute best. If we finished top 8 with this years spine next year should be no different. Arguably better next year. Jack was trash this year and Frawley was back-up at best. Add in a fullback who hadn’t played fullback before and we still...

Unbelievable game.
Broncos had it and were flying. Then clearly just put them all on his shoulders and did something incredible.
Whether you like them or not you have to pay homage to what this team has done in the last five years. Incredible feat. Well done Panfers.

Stuart and Bellamy would be an interesting approach. NSW need to do something different and this certainly is that. I don’t know if people really outcoach others as such at this level. There usually is very little difference between the teams quality wise. Interchange and player selection are biggie...
