Re: 2019 Rd 23 V Sea Eagles: Teams and Previews

I think we need to carry a back on the bench as insurance for finals games. At Manly earlier this year we basically went to **** when raps got injured and went off. Mid season game...not a huge concern if you can’t shake it off and you drop a game. In finals...different story. Given all our middles ...

Not Croker bashing, just saying he has defensive issues. If this was a one off well hay, let's blame the inside men - definitely a factor. But it is not a one off, Croker just about always turns in close to the line - independent of what the attack does. That being said, he makes up for it in other...

So I see Jake T gets away with no game time if he pleads guilty to a Gd 1 for his effort last night. Was Cotric’s worse? I’m not so sure. Plus Nick sent off Jake goes on report....
also Isaac Luke’s effort gets him 2 wks.
They all were the same imo....

Re: Ricky Stuart coaching

I think whenever he does leave it will be on his terms. I sense zero interest from the board/club to have it any other way. He gives the club a certain league wide gravitas that only a handful of other coaches across the league have. We wouldn’t have Hodgson, BJ or Bateman without him and I don’t th...

Re: Canberra Raiders centre Nick Cotric facing three to four weeks on the sideline

I think the penalty for priors is way too harsh. The whole system encourages players not to challenge any charge. And we know there is huge inconsistency in the charges from the MRC. Remember the four recent cases of contact with the eyes? Agree. All the NRL’s bluster about protecting players is ho...

Yes good point. Hunt especially seems to only ever be a crucial knock-on away from completely breaking down.
Cruel game footy sometimes. Shows you that without a strong mindset and ridiculously self assured perspective all the talent in the world won’t get you to that extra step consistently

Croker not going anywhere and rightfully so. BS is 5 or so games into what will be a pretty good FG career. He will be backup for a year or so. As this year shows, you need quality backup and that’s what he will be (if he stays) as he develops more.

I agree with the experts that we are a notch below the top 3 teams. I think we will miss BJ’s X factor in the big finals. I still give us a chance, but we will have to improve in a few areas. 1 in 12 chance of winning the title. I agree with this. We are good this year but missing X factor. BJ is o...

It looked like in the Tigers game Starling came on at around the 37th minute, then didn't start the 2nd half, then came back later in the 2nd half. if that's correct it seems like a weird use of interchange, even for Ricky maybe he was there and I didn't see him? I think it’s clear Hodgo is our chief playmaker.
