Re: Canberra Raiders sign Wigan Warriors half George Williams on three year deal

There are at least half a dozen halfbacks in the comp that defend better than him. He's also missed the 8th most tackles and is 10th in tackle effieciency out of the 16 halfbacks. Me thinks you're just making a lazy, generalised statement which tries to sound smart but has no factual basis whatsoev...

Can't see Nico getting in atm. Papalii is a walk up start, Jack might be able to jag a bench spot.

Re: Canberra Raiders sign Wigan Warriors half George Williams on three year deal

I'm ok on his defence personally, it should be able to hold up. He's pretty stocky and seems to hit well. Sezer doesn't tend to do much defensive work either - he makes the least amount of tackles and second least amount of 1 on 1 tackles per game out of the 16 regular halfbacks. I'm more concerned ...

Yeah he's been bloody impressive lately from what I've seen - seems as though settling his future has completely relaxed him.

Fingers crossed he can translate it over to here, because if he can, we'll have one quality players on our hands.

I'd take Isaako. Can cover 1-5, good speed, and a very decent goal kicker.

Pangai would be a maybe, not sure if we'd been too keen on large big money forwards. Oates a no.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2019

The perfect scenario is George comes in, shows to be the goods and our long term halfback, we load the Broncos with Sezer when what they're really after is a creative and controlling half, further stifling them, and Bird comes in, manages to get fit and tear **** up again. He then gets back into rep...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2019

Geez, if you were a gambler a Bird for Sezer + extra cash swap sure looks bloody tempting, despite the risk. Doubt we'd entertain it though and more likely we need to free up the cap space anyway. Broncos fans highly doubting whether he'll ever get back to his best after the injuries he's had. Not e...

Yeah, no one's touching Teddy for fullback and most likely the overall award.

Re: Canberra Raiders forward Luke Bateman re-signs on one year deal

The thing is with Luke Bateman is that he looked so promising when he came into first grade initially. He was a Fensom upgrade. Despite the fanboi love for Fensom at the time, he was a poor man's Josh Jackson (who is also over rated). He'd give away penalties, get smashed in hit ups and either drop...

Re: Ata Hingano, Royce Hunt and Brad Abbey to depart Raiders at season's end

Felt Hingano should've got a run after showing good form in Mounties when Sezer was dropped and Williams was down on performance in first grade, but alas Sezer managed to get back and lift. Looks like Sam will definitely be re-signed as the back up half for next season. Never got much of a look on ...

Too much effort to do this properly or to be realistic for 2020, but basically: - Find a way to dump Boyd, Bird, and McCullough - Sign a quality replacement fullback and hooker - Shift Milford back to 5/8 - Too overstocked with quality forwards, dump at least 2 for cheaper alternatives - Sign a qual...

The questions are very simple to me, not sure why it seems like such a conundrum 1. Does Sezer make the two kicks Croker missed last night? 2.
