Re: Canberra Raiders sign Wigan Warriors half George Williams on three year deal

Since we’ve got the week off, don’t waste it by playing with your kids or spending time with the significant other. Put it to actual good use. Watch Wigan V Salford and catch up on new boy George Williams. He’s been having a belter of a second half to the year since it was made public he’s coming he...

Re: 2019 Preliminary Final: Teams and Previews

I've waited so long for us to be this good at this time of the year that it almost doesn't feel real.

2016 was an amazing time.
This is topping it for me.

Re: On the move? This is why your club is in danger of relocation

I’ve thought about it;

Sharks, West Tigers or Manly to Perth. First to jump gets a leg up for 5 years. Large market to themselves.

2 new teams, Brisbane 2 and New Zealand 2

Australia is too small for a conference system
Also our minds are too feeble, it’s much too complicated

He only wants it so all the old boys teams are saved in Sydney.

Re: On the move? This is why your club is in danger of relocation

I think relocation would work myself. If you live in Perth you'd just be excited that you now have a team. As long as they win games that's really all you want. To get a team that already has an established brand name, and some history behind it that you can learn and feel part of, adds to the exper...

Re: On the move? This is why your club is in danger of relocation

Tigers should be safe from relocation because they've had to merge once already, as have dragons, plus St George really do have such a wonderful history. Other Sydney teams should get the chop first, Manly and Sharks should be right in the discussion. The Bulldogs do surprise me though, considering...

Re: On the move? This is why your club is in danger of relocation

Dragons cover Wollongong and the South Coast. Already merged with The Steelers who have the historical name in the area. All of the juniors for the last 30 years have been under the Steelers and now the Dragons. It's legitimately a great Junior area owned by the Dragons. I think that's a pretty stro...

Re: On the move? This is why your club is in danger of relocation

I think one of the Titans greatest mistakes was to go with Blue as their primary colour. Helloooo? You're meant to be a QLD club, why are you Blue? QLD need an additional team not one moving around, so I really wouldn't be moving the Titans. They need to get their **** together and stick it out. Thi...

Re: On the move? This is why your club is in danger of relocation

Look they wouldn't be my first choice of Sydney clubs, but another Sydney club could just cover that area quite easily. Doesn't necessarily have to be the Bulldogs that cover an area, could be the Tigers. Certainly not more safe than North Queensland Cowboys! Or the only team we have in the Country ...

Re: On the move? This is why your club is in danger of relocation

Can't hide agendas in Rugby League.
How in world are the Raiders a 2/5, and not only that, the Newcastle Knights 2/5, the Cowboys 2/5 even with a new stadium getting built!
Even the New Zealand Warriors are a 2/5!

and yet the Bulldogs, a Sydney club, are 1/5 (safer)? Even the Eels are 1/5 ...

Re: NRL: Is it time for Canberra Raiders fans to forgive Cronulla Sharks star Josh Dugan?

Interesting question: Todd Carney got invited back to the old boys day a couple of weeks ago. He also went on a podcast recently and said if it wasn’t for all his stuff ups he his preference would to have played 300 games for the Raiders and be co captain with Croker. Would Dugan and/or Ferguson get...

When Josh did that ridiculous field goal the only player that chased it was Rapana. He was in field and behind him in order to chase. Bounced dead easily so no result from the chase.
That's a player I keep in my team.

Peachey is all hero plays. I'm not a fan.
There's a good reason he's never been able to cement a spot. He's just not that good.

Another one of Gus Gould being the greatest salesman in Rugby League. Selling everyone on Peachey being an excellent player.

Re: Canberra Raiders set to extend Ricky Stuart’s contract to end 2022

I've never really understood why you need a coach signed for 3 or more years into the future. Most clubs just end up with a payout. There's very few coaches in the league that require a long term deal to keep or get them. Seibold being an example of an absolutely ludicrous 5 year deal. So with Stuar...

It wasn’t until I saw the win against Melbourne that I realised I really needed to see it. There’s been plenty of times over the years I’ve had blind faith. Look, i said he phoned it in. I didn't say he "Wilfully didn't try his best". Both of those have different meanings, and it comes down to the intention. I think you're taking too much offence to the 'phoning it in'. His best year was 2015 (his last contract year at Titans) until the last 9 weeks. Ma...

In my opinion he has been phoning it in over the years. Especially when you consider his potential, and what he can and has done most recently. The first two games of this year he did barely anything, so I don't know if you want to call it phoning it in, or being out of form, or what. But it's not ...

Woodgers, if Ponga is competing for the ball - why is he still almost fully upright over the ball at the point of collision? He never gets to the ball. It’s on the other side of Chee Kam. Chee Kam misses it as he’s bumped by the other Newcastle player, and the ball beats them all. I still can’t com...
