Re: 2019 Rd 23 V Sea Eagles: Game Day

Today is why you support the club through those years like 2011, 2013 and the last 2 frustrating ones.

I’m enjoying the nerves and the excitement.
What a tremendous time for the club.
Enjoy

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2019

Peachey is all hero plays. I'm not a fan.
There's a good reason he's never been able to cement a spot. He's just not that good.

Another one of Gus Gould being the greatest salesman in Rugby League. Selling everyone on Peachey being an excellent player.

Re: Canberra Raiders set to extend Ricky Stuart’s contract to end 2022

I've never really understood why you need a coach signed for 3 or more years into the future. Most clubs just end up with a payout. There's very few coaches in the league that require a long term deal to keep or get them. Seibold being an example of an absolutely ludicrous 5 year deal. So with Stuar...

Re: Status check

It wasn’t until I saw the win against Melbourne that I realised I really needed to see it. There’s been plenty of times over the years I’ve had blind faith. Even at the beginning of this year I strongly believed we had a top 4 squad with the right coach. Every time we have come up against the top te...

Re: Canberra Raiders' Aidan Sezer wants to stay in NRL

Look, i said he phoned it in. I didn't say he "Wilfully didn't try his best". Both of those have different meanings, and it comes down to the intention. I think you're taking too much offence to the 'phoning it in'. His best year was 2015 (his last contract year at Titans) until the last 9 weeks. Ma...

Re: Canberra Raiders' Aidan Sezer wants to stay in NRL

In my opinion he has been phoning it in over the years. Especially when you consider his potential, and what he can and has done most recently. The first two games of this year he did barely anything, so I don't know if you want to call it phoning it in, or being out of form, or what. But it's not ...

George Williams being signed to play here was an open secret that was being talked about by people from here to the old mother land before a ball was kicked in anger for 2019. So what? Sezer wasnt trying to begin the season, despite the club having already agreed to his replacement, and everyone an...

Stats and damned lies. As pointed out in another thread, Croker is 4th worst center defensively or something. Yet he's not. Don't place your entire argument on stats mate. Apparently I'm re-writing history, but none of you blokes were upset that Sezer was injured and we lost an in form player. Sam looked better than what we got out of Sezer after Round 5, it took more than 3 weeks for people to be sick of Sam. (Which leads into my theory that Sam Williams is the best ...

Sezer has all the skills, and is a good defender. Seems to me it's more about confidence and willingness to inject himself into the game. Hopefully we go real deep or win the comp, with Sezer continuing his recent good form. Will be great for him and his next deal, and make sure we don't carry any of his salary into next year. From what i know, he is very loose disciplinary wise on the field, and some off. With a lot of raw potential and big raps as a junior.

Ramien is choc full of potential and a real strong runner of the football. At the end of last year I would have taken him over all those players (Vs what ive seen from them this year). Woodgers, if Ponga is competing for the ball - why is he still almost fully upright over the ball at the point of collision? He never gets to the ball. It’s on the other side of Chee Kam. Chee Kam misses it as he’s bumped by the other Newcastle player, and the ball beats them all. I still can’t com...

I see JC has moved up to 6th place on the NRL try causes for 2019.... or is that a record we aren’t cheering him to get? That’s because he’s a centre who never misses a game. Centres and wings are way over represented in this stat. They make hard decisions when inside men get it wrong. He’s 41st if...

It's not my rule book, it's the ARL rule book. He's not attempting a tackle. Not in any definition. He's competing for the ball, he's on his line, it's not obstruction. There is not anything you said there that is correct. The MRC have clearly reviewed it in the cold light of day. They haven't charg...

He's going for the ball. How many times does it need to be said. The ball is bouncing around in his ingoal, and he is trying to get to it to knock it dead. Unreal Go on, Beejay. Its plane as day in those picks he's going for the ball then baces for the collision. I can't argue with somebody pointing at the sky and saying its green.
