Re: Coaching issues
Not to forget we had a first game fullback and a 5/8 with all of 5 games of NRL experience. Easy to blame the coach for not playing rookies and then when we run out with a backline that average 21 years old, except for Fogarty, we blame the coach because the backline looks clunky under pressure. Ho...

I couldn't care less about linebreak or try assist stats for a rookie fullback. I loved the way he played.

I'm more concerned that Ricky watched that game against the Titans and said he thought we played well. I'm also concerned that what he seems to have taken away from it is how brave the team were in dealing with the ruck being slowed down...This is the NRL, anyone who has watched more than a handful...

Re: 2024 Round 6 v Titans: Game Day
Then Chevy is offside. But you don’t call that and blow a penalty 100 out of 100 times. Unless it’s blatant, which it wasn’t, you let that go. He was as offside as the Titans were 24 times during the game that weren't called. Hands on the ball in the ruck was another thing as well. Conversely we we...

Re: 2024 Round 7 v Broncos: Teams and Previews
Hoppa sucks in defence, Schiller really sucks in defence. They both struggle in making decisions but at least Hoppa can tackle when he's in position. Schiller is clearly better with the ball but loves a turnover. Hoppa is recovering from horrific burns, which is incredibly **** for the poor bloke. N...

Re: Coaching issues
People are complaining about our poor hookers. Fair I guess. But... FB is the most important attacking position in the modern game. We have an undercooked rookie there. Until he finds his feet, we'll look a bit rubbish in attack- with basically no attacking input from the FB (see '23 Kris but less ...

Re: Coaching issues
I think it only happened due to Hosking's issues. We had to burn 2 interchanges when plan A would have seen him play 80mins and Starling comes on for Levi in a straight swap. I would have left Levi on for the full 80 with the possession we had. Levi is out on his feet after 50mins though, either ne...

Ricky was busting his britches for someone to specifically ask him about the ruck interpretation. The fact it came in the form of comments from Des Hasler feeling like the Titans were shafted was just icing on the cake. [emoji23]

8. Papa
10. Taps
12. Mariota

The rest of em are trash and we will be destroyed by the Broncos.

The boys went real negative in attack during the last 3mins of regular time. I recall watching X and Huddo take hit ups in that set with burning clock time on their minds. We were up by 6 at the time. I’m so happy we won, winning is fun. Absolutely. That was poor play. We gifted them good field pos...

I can't see a productive future for the Levi-Starling combination. It's terrible in defence as well as being chaotic in attack.
Unless we are 6 points down with 5 minutes to go and have no other options.

Re: 2024 Round 6 v Titans: Game Day
My takes on the game: That was a very good win. This was always going to be a very challenging game mentally. Massive win over Parra, losing Rapana and having a very young inexperienced back line. The game was never going to be a light it up style game. It was always going to be a conservative game...

It's not any particularly player or position it's a training, game plan, and coaching issue. Every single play tonight was one out runs, all our...

I thought Stewart was excellent, in really tough circumstances. I was more impressed than I thought I'd be.
He's going to make a fair few breaks up the middle if he keeps looking to pick up offloads.

Lots of unwarranted negativity about our play IMO. I thought Stewart was good. He was sniffing around the ruck early. The coach kept his role simple. I thought he was good under the high ball until late in the game and his kick returns were aggressive. He is also well positioned in defence. The per...

Chevy looked offside with his charge down so we got lucky on that call. That said Titans had to have someone in the bin for repeated infringements so were fortunate in that aspect. Amazing run from Strange to get us in field position at the death for Fog’s field goal. [emoji4] How was he offside? H...

I like Badger, but she was far from blameless in that game. Missed the shoulder to Hosking's head, which ended up with Jolliffe on report. Timoko (from memory) with a perfectly good offload that was called back for him to play the ball, and the ruck was out of control in the second half. We earned ...

Re: 2024 Round 6 v Titans: Game Day
Our second half defence was poor. Too many critical misses in the middle and from Fog. Schiller caught out badly. Levi and Starling on together is a complete disaster. Other than that, our forwards dominated with the ball. We also controlled and possession quite well for a lot of the game. Plenty to...

Re: 2024 Round 6 v Titans: Game Day
Titans have come in with an obvious tactic to slow down the ruck by getting numbers in the tackle. Hopefully we can either break that down with offloads (risky) or move the ball a bit more effectively to our edges. Outstanding kicking from Fog and our team defence in general. The Titans are up for t...
