Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Game Day
Is it though? Hi Zaius, I think you may have misinterpreted the point of my comment. I am not entering the debate around the various aspects of coaching. I can't control any of that, but I can control my expectations of the team's attacking performance. The point of my previous post is that expecta...

I love having him off the bench at this point of his career.
If you haven't watched it, take a look at the video of the team song after the game. He's in the thick of it, with the rest of the young guys. I simply can't imagine him going anywhere.

Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025
Bit late to the party, but I was blown away with how straight Sanders played for a young half. Our outside backs are going to thrive under him and Strange. Yeah, I agree. The two will definitely complement each other in attack and I suspect will link up in a very different attacking structure next ...

Except that we have looked like that for the best part of two decades, not just this week or even this year. That is correct, but in the Game Day thread (and really, in the context of this season) it's mostly irrelevant. Is it though? Hi Zaius, I think you may have misinterpreted the point of my co...

Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Game Day
Let's not get carried away. We didn't get the rub of the green from the ref, but Manly were ordinary. Nevertheless a great win away from home! Great win away from home against a bogey team, especially coming back from 20-0. But when you analyse the tries, they weren’t from great attack or systems a...

interesting alternate reality... if EW wins the challenge down 22-24, we probably kick for goal I said in a group chat at the time and almost everyone in it agreed... losing the challenge and being forced to play for the win was a blessing in disguise and our best chance to snatch a very unlikely w...

The Papalii take is ridiculous. Yep, he didn't even get on until it was 20-0! I thought it was obvious trolling. Yes it’s definitely not lack of heart it’s just he’s in the twilight of his career. Front rowers don’t play like they did early on in their careers late in their careers. Different role....

Levi, Starling, Hopoate, Guler and Whitehead.
Anyway...best part of that was we had 1/3 of the missed tackles we had last week.
Cotric looked good. Happy about that.

Funny what happens when you have a bogus 11-2 penalty count against us in the first half, and then 2-8 in our favour in the second.
Honestly, some of those ruck penalties in the first half were ridiculous.

There are a handful of players who are actively undermining this team. They need to go.
Guler and Levi, I've seen enough...well and truely.
Whitehead, there's just no other options.

I'm not fussed by that from Savage. Everything else he has shown this year has been a marked improvement on previous seasons.

The team you pick when you want to lose 20 - 0 rather than 50 - 20. Either way. Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk Well we couldn’t score a point with last weeks team, I don’t see us scoring 20 with no team changes. While he is fast and scored 5 tries, I think he probably let in as many. Cotric seems to be gaining form and confidence in NSW Cup, so hopefully he brings that to NRL Yeah, for obvious reasons Schiller is a pace over power style of player. To that end, he is poor in contact - whether it be defensiv...

Schiller looks a bit bewildered in defence and in other circumstances would need to be looked closely at, but for the life of me I just can't see where tries are going to come from except through ad-hoc moments by individual players, and he's probably as good as anyone on that. Im not a Ricky fan, ...

That was a horrible performance. The only player for mine who really had a go was Timoko. Strange tried as well. Perhaps, but a 0-40 scoreline also reflected a lackluster performance from a team that the vast majority of the forum would have been itching to see play at the start of the season.Green Machine wrote:What a lacklustre lineup. At least when we lose it’s good to see Chevy play.

The only surprising thing about that team is Hopoate coming in. Desperate times without Rapana.

Yeah, I could do without the Anzac jerseys.
I appreciate the commemorative elements of the pre-game, that's always a highlight of the event, but I don't get the jersey thing. It seems entirely unnecessary to me.

I also hope if the coach is deadset on dropping Schiller that Crotic gets another run rather than Hopoate, apparently Crotic had a good NSW Cup game. There were 3 players that really stood out to me in NSW Cup, Guler, Cotric and Woolford.
