Re: 2025 Round 8 v Dolphins: Game Day

I also said the Dolphins were clinical in that first half. The first 40 was outstanding from them.

Our team still looks like it needs a break. The travel is starting to catch up with us, especially Horsburgh. It does kinda suck our first bye is round 15. Re: 2025 Round 8 v Dolphins: Game Day

As coach, I think I'm going to start Pattie next week. He's the superior ball player and brings momentum from the back of the ruck. I'll bring Starling on about 10 minutes after half time and run him at tired players to finish off. The thing is I don't know if Starling does that well off the bench ...

Re: 2025 Round 8 v Dolphins: Game Day

The Dolphins have been fantastic in this game. Clinical. It just shows you how important energy levels and intensity is to the outcome. Our attack is lateral and slow today and they are playing way more directly. We really do need to sort out our RHS defence though. The Fogarty Timoko combination co...

So disappointed in front of a good crowd.

Interesting to see all 3 middles replaced at once.

Got to give credit to the Dolphins. They're clinical today.

Re: Raiders looking to re-sign Tom Starling on two year deal

Why wouldn't you re-sign him if you can afford it? Especially if Fog leaves. I don't think it has any bearing on the club's plan for the OP. Starling still has fundamental problems with his game. He can't pass long with accuracy, has limited vision and can't play 80, but his running game and defence...

Tamale deserves an 8. Easy. He was brilliant. I’ve banged on about it elsewhere. The consistent return we are receiving from both our wingers is much higher than what we saw in 2024. Re: Raiders offer Fogarty new deal to fend off Sea Eagles’ raid

I think we'll find that the 2 year offer will be enough owing to his family situation. I've stated forever on the ability to have a long-term playing list in the ACT will require and lifetime / post-career strategy for either attracting players and keeping foundational development talent. The bigge...

Re: Raiders offer Fogarty new deal to fend off Sea Eagles’ raid

The Raiders shouldn't match a three year, $700,000 a season deal, in my view. The reports seem to suggest that they can't do it, in any case, given the salary cap constraints (which seems to suggest that some of the young recruits are on big and/or increasing deals). Even if we could afford it, 3 y...

Re: Raiders offer Fogarty new deal to fend off Sea Eagles’ raid

When players find form like this in a contract year it does make you question their previous efforts. Taking nothing away from the form he ...

Re: Raiders offer Fogarty new deal to fend off Sea Eagles’ raid

Great decision to not take up the 1 year extension… Far out that was short sighted This ignores the human factor. NRL requires you to leave nothing on the tank to win. You don’t get that level of play and commitment from the guy you chain to your team for a year when he could be out there fielding ...

Should be a great game. I'm stoked the Dolphins came home strong last weekend. That should ensure we won't take them lightly. Most of the first 25 minutes against the Titans was a ****show. Our pack clearly underestimated the Titans and were absolutely schooled early on. I'll be disappointed if that...

Just thought I'd mention it. I certainly hadn't looked at the stats from that game (I might be tragic but I don't wanna go that far, no offence Seiff) but my wandering eye test wasn't showing KPP doing a great deal in defence - and yes, unless you hone in on it it's easy to miss the involvement - b...

Re: Raiders offer Fogarty new deal to fend off Sea Eagles’ raid

Fogarty's kicking game was outstanding yesterday, long range in the first half and attacking in the second. He's also a great talker. FWIW if he's good enough to get a team to the top 4, I can't see why he wouldn't be good enough to win a comp. First things first though. Sent from my Pixel 8a using ...
