Re: Ethan Sanders signs three year deal with Canberra Raiders
I'm honestly bracing for Ethan Sanders just to turn out to be Ricky Stuart with a hat on backwards. If he ends up with similar playing ability to Ricky Stuart he can wear his hat whichever way he chooses! I am hoping the delay in the Club release is that a player swap is in the works. Well, we defi...

Re: Canberra Raiders miss out on David Fifita
Maybe the NRL grew a set and actually told the Roosters their proposed deal was bogus when they lodged the offer. Edit - no, it doesn't look like that at all. The whole thing is a farce. Fifita and his manager need to grow up a bit and just get on with it. The Titans management should also be ashame...

Re: Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart set to sign four-year contract extension
I don't actually care that much about this extension as it really makes no difference either way, but what bugs me is that at least five of my mates have sent me screenshots of NRL360 with "Raider for life!" or "Ricky Extends" or whatever the **** it was, and not one of them was...

Re: Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart set to sign four-year contract extension
I've stumbled into the Greenhouse therapy thread. [emoji23] No strong opinion from me here. The coach is the one signing these young spine players and they all seem to love playing for him. A young team needs stability. He was always going to be our coach for years. I'm just glad Stuart has put us b...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
I still think Schuster is worth a chat. We were quoted saying we're after a backrower with a point of difference. He is certainly that. For the right price ofcourse. Crichton seems like a risk as he will command a lot more money - only started playing well in a contract year, mental health concerns...

I tell ya who should be taking a home game to Brisbane.. The Broncos. Not once yet. It's an absolute rort. It's stuff like this which reinforce how much the NRL take the piss with a couple of clubs. Good team.
If our forwards don't turn up for a big game here they're having a bubble bath.
I'd like to see Mariota start and Papalii off the bench.

Re: Canberra Raiders miss out on David Fifita
Quite a few articles and comments in the media about how ridiculous this outcome is.
It's a terrible look for the NRL. They won't do anything about it, but it really is a joke.

Surely Cotric keeps his spot.
Would be close to our best backline this season, short of Fogs.
I'd like to see Stewart get another game or two at some stage though.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
FWIW I reckon the Raiders have been one of the most astute clubs when it comes to recruiting. The only 'big name' we've ever recruited was Meninga 40 years ago, yet we've made the finals more often than not over the course of our history. People have to start getting over comparing us to the Rooster...

Re: A new Canberra Stadium
Interestingly ACT population projections indicate we could reach 800,000 people in the territory (not to mention surrounding regions) by 2060. That's near the population of San Francisco. So this stadium could be servicing a region of 1 million people by the time it hits 35 years old. San Fran's NFL...

An internal draft would cover movement of players already in the NRL top 30 players. Or you could include players on supplementary lists. It’s for established players. Drafts are almost exclusively a North American thing. Their obsession with college sports as a pathway to the pros enables it. The Badger situation is interesting. She had a poor game in our game vs Titans. This Trai Fuller bloke is dynamite. Wasn’t even in the Dolphins top 30, they had to get permission to use him. He’s carved up every game. Incredible skill for a ‘back up’.
