Re: John Bateman - Best first season in Raiders history?

Bateman has been great, no doubt, but I'm not underestimating the impact of CNK either. He's one of the most hard working, bravest fullbacks in the comp. There is no doubt both of those guys have helped to change the attitude of our squad. Combine that with the loss of Austin, Boyd and Paulo, who al...

Re: 2019 Finals Week 1 V Storm: Game Day

That ain't it, chief. Annesley was 100% spot on, Whitehead should have been binned, and if not him, definitely Croker. And Vunivalu wasnt out. Those were huge plays in the game. As were the storm blowing it on tackle 1 with an obstruction, as was Addo Carr spilling his beans, as was Simo's position...

Re: 2019 Finals Week 1 V Storm: Game Day

Cameron Smith is a flog. Let the record show that he was almost 2 metres offside in the last play the ball prior to Addo-Carr having the ball dislodged, which ultimately led to Bateman's try. Right in front of Klein too. Seriously, the Storm got away with a lot of stuff during that game. For Annesle...

The play was made because Bateman ran the good line. Leilua just had to get home the ball at the right time.

Re: 2019 Finals Week 1 V Storm: Game Day

Is someone seriously thinking Croker being wrapped up in that tackle was a sin bin? That was being milked for all it's worth. There was absolutely nothing stopping the Melbourne player from playing the ball. How ahout that Storm forward pass that led to them getting the scrum feed at a critical poin...

Re: 2019 Finals Week 1 V Storm: Game Day

What I loved about this game is that everyone played their role. No single player had the "game of their life" for us to win. They just did their jobs. Most of all, I enjoyed the fact Hodgson trusted his halves to do their jobs, and he just focused on his. As a result, Sezer, Wighton and Hodgson all...

It does annoy me that we have Leilua locked into a contract for next season and this move could force us to release him early. I’m thinking perhaps we need to release him early? CNK upgrade, G Williams and whatever other negotiation are taking place may mean we need to free up BJ $$ now? Geez it wo...

If we can't beat either Manly or Souths at home we are dead set kidding ourselves. Doesn't matter who we play. If we turn up ready to give it 100% we will most likely win. I wouldn’t be so sure, we haven’t beaten either team this year. And Sticky has never beaten Wayne as a Raiders Coach. Sent from...

Re: 2019 Finals Week 1 V Storm: Game Day

Arguably, the best outcome of this game for me is listening to Craig Bellamy fuming about his players being bustled out of "the system". Now, I know that "the system" is essentially another term for game plan - but if that term doesn't embody the absolutely robotic nature of the Melbourne Storm then...

There will be plenty of clubs linked to our players soon. Hard to know what truth there is to the bit about us willing to release him early. Anything is possible I guess, with the Rapana situation also up in the air. All things being equal I'd rather keep Leilua than Rapana, but with Oldfield and Si...

I just want it to be a good game. The Storm are fairly robotic, so you know what you're going to get there.

With Wighton, Leilua, Bateman, Tapine and Hodgson we've got the weapons to trouble them but also have the potential to completely lose our heads.

Absolutely anything could happen here.

I understand what Mundine is trying to do (most of the time), but in being controversial to get publicity he is incredibly divisive - especially some of his commentary about racism. This is what NRL tribalism is all about. You're either with us or you're not!

On what basis does anyone need to forgive him and why? He doesn't play for us any more. We should hate all we want - adds to the theatrics of the game.

Select anyone that doesn't remind me of that car crash performance against the Warriors.

It'd also be nice not to be down 3 tries to zip in this game too. Back to basics please.

My biggest fear is that Hodgson will try to be the hero in this game. Just stick to the damn game plan Josh.
