Re: 2024 Round 6 v Titans: Game Day
There was space everywhere but Chevy was no where near it. He is 18 and first game but it might be a rough few weeks in attack until raps gets back. That left side 6, centre and wing are so deep in attack they were no chance. Very disjointed but a win is a win. Agree, his positioning in attack need...

Isn’t Horsburgh suspended? He got 4 weeks for fighting the charge and losing. It would have been 3 with an early guilty plea.

Smithies and Levi needed to get back, no one near Tapine.
This is what we did last year - dominate early but just let them in a little.

No he's a young second rower. Oh wow! He used to be a five-eighth, from memory. No the Lachlan Lewis you are thinking of, is the nephew of Wally Lewis played for us as a five-eighth/half under Brett White in the Under 20s, then went to the Bulldogs. He played a bit of NRL and then was sacked becaus...

Are we saying we expect the club to fold if someone doesn’t build us a stadium? If the stadium isn't fit for purpose then the NRL can revoke the licence, yes Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk I think there is a lot of space between being a poor ground and not fit for purpose. Re: A new Canberra Stadium
Are we saying we expect the club to fold if someone doesn’t build us a stadium? I think it will make it harder to be successful, whether we will fold is another question. Re: 2024 Round 1 v Knights: Game Day
It is a very pleasing win and really does give us credibility as a club. Remember many people didn’t want us playing the opening Thursday night match of the season so to go and put in such a big performance in front of a big audience is massive. You also have to say that Ricky has justified the way ...

The Knights are an interesting one. When you consider they won what 11 or 12 in a row last year before being beat in NZ, they really haven't been talked about at all before this season. Yes they have lost Dom Young and I also rated Fitzgibbon but they are pretty much the same team as last year. Hast...

Remind me again how teams can go and name half a team for NSW cup and below? The NSWRL do require clubs to submit teams for release on Tuesday at 5:00pm. So for anyone who was on the fence about spending the $50 bucks on it, NSWRL TV have scheduled the first 10 weeks of games and they will have 3 games a week and it seems they will not double up on the Kayo game. Raiders have games shown in round 2 (kayo) 3, 4, 5, 7, 9 in the first 10 weeks, with ro...

Fox Sports article on Leilua says Dragons offered Kulikefu Finefeuiaki $600K a year for 2025. Surely we can trump that and even go higher to make it too hard for the Cowboys to keep him? I understand the risk involved in going that hard for such a young player but he's the type who fits our timelin...

Where will the Cowboys be at for this game. Wasn’t the idea as to why we were playing them because they were doing a camp in the region.
If they are working them hard on the camp they might be pretty cooked for Sunday.

Cook looked good in that game and did some nice things in reserves early the following year but then completely went to water. He seemed to totally lose his nerve and couldn’t catch a cold. Was sad to see.
If he has got his confidence back he could be ok.

Various members scarfs and other members gear - free to a good home
Does anyone want a whole heap of members scarfs and other members gear from the past 20 years?
I am doing a clean out and many of the lm are still in the plastic. I tend to only use the hats.
If anyone wants them send me a message. They are going out otherwise.

In the process of moving and sadly I am getting rid of most of my Big League magazines. They will all be from 2004-2019 and I literally have a waist high pile of them. My understanding is the home teams are paid a fee by the NRL (not sure if it is the same for all eight teams). The NRL then gets money from the Qld Govt to host it and also the ticket sales. Obviously there are other costs but I think in general it has been a cash cow for the NRL. It was rumoured th...

Re: 2024 Canberra Raiders draw
They obviously have a lot of confidence in the Sun-corp stadium surface. Not only Magic Round but now they have added a 9th game (Womens state of origin) on the Thursday night. Provided the surface holds up, I think it is a brilliant curtain raiser.
