Re: 2020 Rd 4 V Knights: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*

Clearly we won’t be able to go this week, but two interesting stories today about sporting crowds. GWS Giants believe they might be able to have corporate guests at their game next week and in NZ there is talk that restrictions on gatherings might be lifted all together as early as next week meaning...

Re: England coach Shaun Wane says George Williams needs to improve

If you want to know about Wane’s history, have a look at this. It was before his last game coaching Wigan, which was also Sutton and Bateman’s last match. George Williams also playing. wfODAqmfrfg He was also a very good player. He was man of the match for Wigan’s victory over Manly in 1987. Raiders...

Re: England coach Shaun Wane says George Williams needs to improve

A fantastic record in England is a bit like being the primary school swimming champion though. Doesn't mean you're a shoe in for the Olympic team suddenly. I think Wane is an excellent coach. In fact, if Ricky was to get hit by a bus tomorrow, he would be near the top of my list for a replacement.

Re: England coach Shaun Wane says George Williams needs to improve

Some of the comments on this thread are ridiculous. First Shaun Wane is not a rugby league nobody, he has a fantastic record in England, and is now the national team coach. He is also responding to a Yorkshire newspaper so there is no surprise they are talking up the English game. I see Wane’s comme...

Re: We stand as one - Member options for the remainder of 2020

The website seems to explain it well but there seems to be a screenshot of an excel spreadsheet which shows the credit for each option but it doesn’t seem to have all the categories, in particular shows the Junior not the adult amount. I think what it does also say that if crowds are allowed back in...

Job done. Pretty good way to travel.

Reports on Twitter that the Raiders will be flying to either Sydney or Wagga and bussing it back to Canberra. Will be a long night. Hope they get some good rest during the week. No they are not. Flight is almost home. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UTY3392/history/20200530/1330Z/YMML/YSCB

I think the Raiders are doing the right thing - you name your price then stick to it.

That is where the Storm have been so successful.

I hope he stays but every extra dollar you spend on Bateman is a dollar you can’t spend on other players.

Re: Don Furner says John Bateman has permission to have negotiations with other clubs

Once again contract talk is the biggest blight on the game.

Seriously, we have gone weeks worrying about whether the 2020 season will go ahead and then a few days before it recommences, the discussion is about whether a player can fit into the salary cap for 2022.

Spare me.

Why are all these decisions being made a week before the season re-starts? It's really odd. Not that odd when you think about it. Weren’t the players getting paid in full in April? When they really only had the same restrictions the rest of us had? Now things are starting to open up, but for NRL pl...

Bit strange that he has only gone on a one year deal.

It could mean that he becomes the first Warriors player to play for them without having set foot in NZ. (As a Warriors player - I am sure he has been to NZ before)
