Re: Canberra Raiders re-sign Sam Williams on two year deal

Seems a bit of a surprising article. If Sezer goes there potentially is an option to get another first grade quality player in it seems.

I am with the others who are not a big fan of the tournament. It provides some interest when Fittler played but I don’t think playing Negas or Jason Croker got anyone extra through the gate. Potentially you could have a situation where the winner got two competition points and the runner up one. Th...

Subloo didn’t play finals because he was injured. Would have easily played under 20s finals if he was fit. I think he has a bit more potential upside than Westcott. If Westcott doesn’t get a shot at NRL/NSW Cup he will be a superstar in local footy somewhere for the next 10 years but I am not sure h...

I think part of any NRL decision would be how long a contract was for. I am sure they wouldn’t approve a contract just for the end of 2020 which allows him to go back to Japan next summer.

If he was to rejoin to the end of 2021 - potentially different story.

Re: Canberra Raiders 2020 NRL draw

We'd be severely underestimating the AFL to assume that scheduling games against rugby league is pure coincidence. They had the chance to avoid the clashes. Well so did the NRL I guess. The software both codes use is only as good as the parameters that are fed into it. I don’t think the AFL gains a...

Timing of when you get teams can be important too. Getting a so called easier run early has its positives in that we can build confidence and hopefully have a strong ladder position. However, we have seen that as the season drags on there can be some pretty easy wins as teams lose interest.
