Interesting that Sezer is still in the squad. Oldfield is cover for Cotric but there's no forward reserves now.
I noticed that too. Interesting. Would not be surprised if Sezer comes into the squad for either Williams or Starling.

My guess is he will be the back up hooker.

Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Teams and Previews

See the Daily Telegraph is reporting that the 7 players out this week are all part of our 13 highest paid players and the total salaries of these 7 is $4.2 million. We have applied for dispensation to bring in Tom Starling this week from outside the top 30 and apparently one other rookie - I imagine...

Re: Magic round

I think if you'd ever decided to go to the Auckland Nines, you'd have found the atmosphere to have been Magic Round x 20. Because the Auckland Nines did EVERYTHING much, much better than we saw on the weekend. It is sad the NRL found itself incapable of just copying the Nines. But, yes, they were. ...

Re: Magic round

I am not sure the surface was too bad. It didn’t look the best, but there was a decision not to water it and keep it short and I think it worked ok. I went on Saturday and Sunday and thought it wa fantastic. A very different event to any other RL event I have been to but there was a great vibe with ...

It will be a great weekend,I would book a extra day of work to recover. This just would not happen in soccer in UK, it would be world war. 3 Yes they deliberately separate them in the city. Re: Magic round

I personally think it's madness not even having a single game in Sydney this weekend. I think if it gets momentum from this it will be a success in Sydney. However, I guess most weeks you can go to multiple games in Sydney although most people don’t. It will be interesting to see how many neutrals ...

Re: Magic round

In England clubs don’t lose a home game, it is an extra round. So in our case you would play 12 home, 12 away plus magic round. They already play each other twice so the magic round match ups can be big rivalries.

Re: Magic round

The concept's fine. I'm just utterly boggled that the NRL looked at the list of NRL grounds and chose the second-worst playing surface in the NRL to do it on. I have said before that I don’t reckon the surface has been any good since the ground got totally flooded. Having said that, it seems to be ...

Re: Magic round

I think it is a great idea. Apparently the Auckland Nines was a great event but it was irrelevant from a rugby league point of view. These are real games. I agree with your point about the ticket prices. I think they are ridiculous. When this was first mooted I thought the tickets would be pretty ch...

Surely Simonsson is being rewarded for a solid performance last week, by being named in the top 17... I can't see him lining up in the top 17 come game day. I can. This is yet another reason why John Bateman is so valuable to the team. Have Bateman in the side and we can play 4 forwards on the benc...

RIP Alfie. Looking at the very good site rugbyleagueproject.org, he played 3 games in 1986 and 1 in 1987. He played in a Round 15 1986 loss to Balmain, Round 20 win over Eastern Suburbs and Round 21 loss to North Sydney. In 1987 his only appearance was the Round 23 loss at Manly - perhaps it was app...

Good to see Luke Bateman picked. The way he came off last week, I feared it could be a very serious knee injury. Last two seasons we have been blown off the park in the first half at Brookvale against these guys. We need to start well. As someone else said, if they get their offloads going, they become very dangerous and Cherry Evans can control the game with his kicking. You can see by Ricky's comments on the...
