Re: Ricky Stuart coaching

If the Board has learnt from his last extension then they won't be making any decisions in 2019. Leading into this year his record is one finals series from 5. Should the team's form continue and we get our wish and make the finals it will still only be 2 from 6. Imo we should be deep into season 20...

Imagine paying Bryce Cartwright and Tyrone Peachey 600k each... Reminds me of Matt Elliot throwing huge dollars at spuds like Tyran Smith... Ugh, Tyran Smith was one of the handful of players in my time I didn’t like seeing in green: - Tyran Smith - Troy Thompson (I realise the forum loves him beca...

Re: Nick Cotric takes early plea, suspended three weeks

I think that's another issue with the judicial system in the NRL. The judiciary is on a completely different page to the match review committee. There's a better than even chance that if you go to the judiciary, the case is dismissed or the charge reduced. I recognise that the population is biased,...

Raiders got the 2 competition points so mission accomplished. So very impressive performances on both sides of the ball. The main talking point is the Cotric send off. I agree that the tackle was not a spear tackle which back in the day was about lifting a player vertical and driving them head firs...

Has Wighton played himself into an Australian jersey? Jack would have to be ahead of Chambers and Mbye. Turbo has the right center spot. It will come down to Mal and if he can get Mitchell to focus on footy. Has Mitchell Pearce done enough to be considered for a Kangaroos halves position? If Luke K...

Thanks for the summary GE. We can only hope that those who went to Bali have not left their minds there.

Good to have Nic back in the side. I like Seb Kris but I think Nic is more likely to beat his man one on one.

Re: Canberra Raiders sign Wigan Warriors half George Williams on three year deal

TPJ wants to play for Tonga so his Rep career will be limited and not involve Origin. Fair enough - play where your heart tells you to. We all saw his potential in the lower grades with the Raiders. But converting that potential into being a dominant FG player is something a lot of players have prom...

Was at the game and was annoying to see NSW keep going to the right while wighton and abdo car was staring at open space in front of them on the left. GE, Low run meters too. Maybe the humidity got to him. A 6 was generous. Not that Sticky would ever single out a player publicly but he was a long way short of expectations in a match we needed our rep players to stand up in.

Very happy with the extension of HorsPowers contract. He has that raw aggression in him which only needs to be better directed. A couple more off seasons will see him bulk up and mature and I think we will have a very good NRL forward on our hands. He is in his first season of FG so we have to expec...

Re: Through green eyes 2019

GE for the Eels match EW missed 7 tackles and ran for 60 mtrs over the full 80 minutes. TGEs has him rated a 7 for that game. Is that one for each missed tackle? I am a fan of EW but I think a 6 is too high for him on that performance.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2019

I’d be surprised if there were a large number of players on a fixed share of the cap. It may have become more common to escalate in line with the cap increases when we didn’t know how the cap was escalating. I suspect the Raiders didn’t do that... otherwise we wouldn’t have been in cap trouble when...
