Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Game Day

We had a clear possession advantage with 54% of the football so we should have been able to make more of that. With Hodgo missing we are now without 5 of last years Grand Final pack for the short turnaround grand final replay. Having watched the highlights I am concerned that there is something tak...

Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Game Day

Interesting to hear Brad Fittler today give Tom Starling a rap about being the fastest player out of dummy half he has seen. This is from the State of Origin coach of Damien Cook. Without Hodgo our attacking patterns will have to change due to the different skill levels. Over to you Sticky. Huge tes...

Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Game Day

Well you know what they say we can’t blame the refs for the loss. If CNK knocks the ball dead and Whitehead grounds the ball Raiders win this I guess.. 100% agree with this Sid. These were things within our control and we did not execute them well. Given there were only 6 points in the match our fa...

Sad news for Guler. A gun in the making.

Given Bateman was hurt playing for England does anyone know how our cap application to the NRL is going?

Great post S82. I think the ongoing drama is not positive for the club. It may be best to release back to England to be with his family as soon as flights are available. I don't reckon his heart is in wearing green again.

I don't think we'll see HSS over the next 2 weeks but I hope he is given an opportunity soon.

It could be worse though. We could still have BJ who is about to have an enforced break due to another dumb act.

Re: Coronavirus

To be fair, how many international arrivals have the ACT, TAS, etc. had to place in hotel quarantine? I expect it's mostly VIC and NSW dealing with all that, and NSW obviously has done it better than VIC, though it's probably a bit of an oversimplification to go 'we're all awesome except for those ...

If we could snag a 21 year old Origin and Kangaroos rep, who is top 3 in tackle breaks for his position (in a year where he's a tad short of his best no less), played 80 NRL games and never had a major injury and who'd played GF's, semi finals etc wouldn't we jump at it?
