Re: 2019 State of Origin II: Queensland V New South Wales

Agree with that, Bone. In regard to Mitchell, there must be more to it. Everyone loves him so there’s no way they dropped him purely on that first game. I think the inconsistencies between Freddy’s and Brandy’s comments about in the week afterwards indicates a fair bit more is going on behind the s...

Re: 2019 State of Origin II: Queensland V New South Wales

I think it will be Jack on the left and Turbo on the right regardless of the numbers on their back. Turbo has played right center in SOO and Jack plays on the left for us even though at 5/8. I think we'll see a fair bit of Jake T and Dale F at prop. I reckon both will have more minutes than Safiti.

Tamou is nearly as marshmallow a forward as Aaron Woods. And no I don't know what the answer is, but not frickin' Tamou. Surely there's someone better than that. You must have missed the 45 metre angled run he put on for a try against us in Wagga Wagga. Or the fact that of the middles available for...

Julian, I reckon the side picked is there to play an up tempo game. I reckon there will be a lot more support for Damien Cook with such a mobile pack. Jake and Dale are not bad meter eaters themselves. They have some footwork and run angles well. They are also mobile in the defensive line so there w...

Yeah, announced on the footy show that Pearce is injured and unavailable for selection. Cork and Hip problems. So NSW selections have to cover injuries to Klemmer, Haas and Cotric which have ruled them out. The easiest for me will be Turbo Tom in for Nic. If Turbo gets through todays game fit, then ...

I disagree on caring how we go in the run to the finals. As long as we can find a top four spot those games don’t count . Remember 2016? We beat Sharks and Melbourne going into finals marking ourselves as contenders and lost to both. I’m certainly not saying I’d prefer to lose them, but if the team...

Re: Are we premiership contenders?

I think we are contenders this year. We still let in some soft tries but they are less frequent. Hopefully the focus remains on further defensive improvement against the better sides. Sure our attack 'needs work' but it is shutting down and frustrating the better sides which are the keys to success ...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2019

I don't think Russell Packer is the type of forward we are now looking for. We are after high mobility players who can play long minutes at FG level when required. It has worked for us this year and if interchanges are again reduced then we would be looking to buy/develop more of this type of forward.

I don't see a place for Fonua at the Raiders. If we were looking at backs I would rather Xerri or Lomax should they become available.

I had seen nothing much of John Bateman prior to him playing for the Raiders. I would keep him on the right because - Johnny B. Gooood.

It's a demonstrated pattern of behavior that the Young bloke needs to eliminate from his game. We have enough of an injury list, without losing players to dumb niggle tactics. I'm sure Sticky and some in the leadership group would have spoken to him about his actions. It's a selfish play that leads ...
