Re: A new Canberra Stadium
Does anyone know if the AFL pay to rent Manuka oval on game day like the Raiders, Brumbies do for Bruce stadium?

Re: A new Canberra Stadium
The ACT government told us each GWS Giants game in Canberra brings an extra $1 million dollars into the region.
Can anyone imagine how creative the accounting has to be to determine that figure.

I’m really enjoying Mr Bates v the Post Office. An excellent British dramatised true story on 7 plus. Reminds me of Robodebt.
The streaming service plethora of adverts are ridiculous however.

I agree, a step in the right direction. Ricky hasn’t been as fixed with some players as previous seasons. So that’s an improvement. Other than Elliot Whitehead I think this is pretty much form based. Starling probably a little lucky, but Pasami has been pretty good with his defence and play the ball...

Re: 2024 Round 3 v Warriors: Game Day
Levi has shown an ability to step out of dummy half and immediately straighten our attack and he’s a good quick wrestler once in the tackle. But that’s about the end of his positives. Woolford is more organised and has much better service from dummy half but isn’t as good at straightening our attack...

Re: 2024 Round 3 v Warriors: Game Day
I think a Woolford Levi rotation has a bit to offer.
A stint in NSW Cup for Starling to work on speeding up his service and selecting which way to attack would be good for him.

Thats a bad call. The Parra player was not even looking to make a tackle , so how can he be impeded The call was fine. Jurbo stopped in the line and prevented the defender from having any chance of getting there. It’s an obvious penalty, as per the rules of the game. I think we all know that the de...

Yvette Berry says “tell me what you’ve learnt”. I’m guessing she believes the Raiders can learn more in a single away game than her government can learn from the seven feasibility studies and millions wasted in meaningless research and artist’s impressions.

Good point earlier about the difference between NRL and NSW Cup. Levi also looked well above that level last year, but it doesn’t necessarily translate to NRL. We have three bottom of the range NRL hookers who have different strengths and weaknesses. Seems to be a bit of a dearth in hooker stocks ac...

What are the ideas for the ACT in terms of budget. Is 628m something they could scrounge together? Less cost than just 1.7km of Light Rail But significantly greater cost than a pineapple. The point being that a stadium, a light rail project and a pineapple are 3 very different things that each serv...

Good call on players planting the ball too early before playing it. Now hopefully they’ll start calling Cam Murray for it, he’s a serial offender. I think the worst in the game is JFH. Not even Hercule Poirot could figure out what he's trying to do. Yes Zim. He also loves to plant the ball behind a...

Problem is Starling was worse than Levi. His two passes from the scrum to Savage late in the game were absolute floaters.

3 Fog (some great passes and pressure relieving kicks)
2 Timoko (unlucky not to get my 3)
1 Raps (so much effort under consistent pressure).
Some good performances across the team. As I mentioned elsewhere Cotric had an unhappy night. I was really hoping for a good game from Nick.

All four props very good. Fogs kicking has really saved our bacon and Timoko and Savage very good too.
Levi has done a few good things, but too much sloppy plays too. Hosking added spark off the bench.

I love Fog and his kicking game, but Cleary just showed what an elite halfback should be able to do. Andrew Johns-level skills. Fog just doesn’t have that kind of play in his repertoire, at least not to any consistent level. There’s usually only 0-2 guys at this level at halfback at any point in ti...
