Re: 2022 Rd 16 V Dragons: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
I’d be interested in the Stats, but I don’t reckon Rapana would be at Savages level. Someone told me Xavier had set a new record, but I don’t know whether that’s true or not. Steve Marvin may have had more in one game than Savage this season. Who ever told you that wouldn’t know his **** from his e...

Based on decades of history. If the Daily Telegraph picks us to definitely miss the finals then lock us in for 8th, if they say we’ll definitely make the finals, lock us in for 10th. In addition, if they say we’ll beat the Dragons and the Bulldogs, then lock us in for humiliating losses in those tw...

If there was a club that I thought Botman would never go to it was Newcastle.

CHN is not playing NRL as he's playing poorly. Last week in NSW Cup he made five runs for 29 metres, six post contact metres. He made one offload and one tackle break. He made 21 tackles, for an effective tackle rate of 81 per cent. He missed three tackles, two ineffective. He conceded two penaltie...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2022
In a vacuum, Brooks over Fogarty is a no brainer But when you consider the Brooks contract.... its just not honestly feasible. That's one of the worst contracts i've ever seen in professional sports (relative to the salary cap of those leagues) Yep. It’s signing Brooks to 5 Pie’s and 10 Schooners o...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2022
I would have taken Brooks over Fogarty when we were recruiting a half, but it sounds like we may have had to pay around $700k a season (with Wests still contributing money).
What were Wests thinking.
BTW, Can I get Brooks manager to negotiate my next consultancy contract?

Re: Zac Woolford set to secure new two year deal at Canberra Raiders
I think the late footwork and power of Taps and Papa, (lesser extent Hors) and the direct carry of Sutton suits Woolfords simple and direct style of game play. He seems to somewhat suit our forwards needs too. I don’t think his simple Hooker play would be as effective for some other NRL teams with a...

I didn’t think Raiders were paying freight on Ryan James. Has there been any news reports claiming we were?
Ben Ikin said on radio that they were simply taking on his contract for 2022, but I’m not sure if there’s been separate reports.

I thought Fogarty’s kicking game in the attacking zones was excellent yesterday. But he needs work on the other areas of his game. Sitting behind the goal lines yesterday (not a place I usually sit) I did notice it was Fogarty and Whitehead who were getting the defensive numbers in the right place (...

Correct Seif. I therefore predict experts will say new stadium in Civic or keep the old one at Bruce, so ACT government will therefore get Geocon to build the new stadium at Michelago.

The car parks are also part of Commonwealth Park, and as such are on land managed by the National Capital Authority. In other words you'd need the Feds permission to build there, and I highly, highly doubt they'd give it. If you tried to build there you'd probably also create a bureaucratic nightma...

I’ve often wondered whether the second best place for the stadium near the city would be around the car parks to the west of Commonwealth park. If it can't be civic I think Woden is the next best option. Whilst there was some good moments for the outside backs, they also had some terrible positioning on occasion and some very poor tackle attempts. Not to mention the mistakes.
Excluding Cotric who was good.
