Re: Canberra Raiders to remain at home and play in Sydney under preferred option for season re-start

Nine also shouldn’t have agreed to a contract that allows Foxtel to simulcast all games. That was dumb. Or alternately, they could stop delivering a commentary team and view of the game that is stuck in the last millennium... The commentary in the previous millennium was streets ahead of the **** b...

If Nine can’t see the value in their rugby league contract, that’s their fault not the NRL’s.

Nine also shouldn’t have agreed to a contract that allows Foxtel to simulcast all games. That was dumb.

Nine should have also sought the ability to FTA broadcast some Saturday games on delay.

Cant believe people were really pissed off by this. We would lose our wins over the titans and warriors. We would get to play them again. If it split into conferences we would be in a much easier pool. The only annoying thing out of it is that the roosters would lose two losses. But lets face it, t...

So NRL says they can reverse correctly awarded points for the season so far, but They can’t reverse a wrong decision to rescind a six again call in a grand final. This really is an ineptly run sport. For decades in the NRL teams have played some teams once and some teams twice.

If this proposal to ignore the first two rounds of 2020 is implemented, it places question marks over every premiership in the NRL era.

Agree. The NRL commission hasn’t been worse than the previous structure, but they are only about 20% better at 300% more expensive.

They certainly haven’t lived up to your expectations from the start. Time for a shake up.

I was thinking a 25% pay cut for NRL Executive salaries wasn’t enough. But then I thought that this is currently the time period when they will really earn their pay dealing with the fallout. So I’m OK with the NRL response. Something I rarely say.
