Re: 2020 Rd 1 V Tigers: Teams and Previews
Sorry Josh, Isaac Moses has been a blight on rugby league for a long time. The NRL should have banned his company entirely from any dealings with the game given what Moses has done. Yep. Moses is a fraudulent EDIT who has created issues for the game as a whole. Reminds me of the people who say EDIT.

Re: Canberra Raiders young gun Hudson Young set to sign new deal to end 2024
Good for both parties. I think Hudson needs the discipline and structure that Ricky and the Raiders senior players live and breathe. Hudson Young could have disappeared like a thousand other talented NRL players who hit a hurdle, but the club and particularly himself are starting to grow the acorn. ...

I therefore believe that Josh McCrone has a licence to print money and that ‘scumbag’ made Bellamy look like a great coach.

Spot on Raider Azz. There’s certainly going to be some competition for forward spots. And players who performed strongly last season deserve to hold their spot until someone out performs them. Lui was very good in the trial, he ran good lines, threw some great passes and with Guler was clearly a ste...

I was also of the opinion they weren’t shoulder charges (in the usual context).
Hors is known as fiery by the refs and commentators, this can often lead to an overreaction to any tackle out of the norm. I remember Tallis, Geyer, Plumb all being penalised for hard tackles that were 100% legal.

First game of the season and a potentially hot day. Definitely have to play Starling to give us some strike power at tired Tiger forwards.

New Jersey looked better in game than it does at the store. I do wish the blue band had been a dark green band. Or they were thin blue, white and yellow stripes.
But it still doesn’t stack up against the retro jersey and does look like a training top.

Agree that Ryan James was good and loved his quick PTB. But I thought Guler and Lui were even better. Lui showed some nice passes including a good draw and pass for the try and an excellent quick hands to put his centre into space. Hors and Sutton did some good stuff but both made some silly mistake...

Starling with some good runs. None of the backs stood out. But many including Simmonson at least looked solid.

Ramsay might bulk up like Dugan did.
He looks like a junior worth extending his contract in my opinion.
But certainly his debut was overhyped and Valemi added some dollars to the wingers contract.

ALP keep fluffing their policy lines.
If they’d only hit negative gearing for portfolios over say $2 million and Tax Franking credits over a high threshold too, then it would have targeted the richer people.

Tigers often start OK and fall away as the season starts to drag.
We will have to be up from the first minute for the whole game. There’s always a few surprises through the first 2 rounds.

I just can’t see Cotric becoming the player he could have become at the Bulldogs.
He will be a very good player there and will certainly break tackles and score tries.
I just wonder how he’ll feel if Raiders win a premiership and/or he goes through a finals drought.

If Corey Parker ever demonstrated his ability to analyse rugby league I’d be shocked at his sacking.
You only have to watch his tired and cliched analysis of Raiders games to know he doesn’t have an original thought or insight in his head.

Lui has been reported as taking less to stay with us at just a bargain $250k a season. He deserves a good final contract. So I think Raiders fans will wish him well. I think Papa and a few of the boys wouldn’t want to lose his off field and training ground influence. Problem is a young forward sudde...

I’d rather hardened players who expect to be top 4 than another bunch of potential stars such as Carney or Dugan who are more interested in drinking and contract size. These players are our best chance in 20 plus years. I’d love a Tedesco at fullback or Latrell in the centres, but this experienced l...
