Re: Your predicted Canberra Raiders team for next year?

I agree it’s not the worst effort by Fox.

The Daily Telegraph usually include a long gone player like Josh McCrone and some numpty reserve we picked up from Parra or Bulldogs.

Also they put Papalli in the second row and Wighton at fullback.

Canberra Raiders co-captain Josh Hodgson has eyes set on round one return

I don’t think Hodgson’s game is built on speed, it’s built on making the right passing, running and kicking decisions and attracting the attention of the defence. I also don’t think Hodgo played to his usual standard last year and he held the ball up way too much, but I still think he has a lot to o...

I really enjoyed The Way Back with Ben Affleck on Netflix. Part standard sports movie, but takes it a notch higher with some good performances and a deeper storyline.

Gold Coast Titans 2020

Who would have thought an ex roosters player who went to the Gold Coast would be caught up with drugs?

Next I’ll find out an ultra right wing politician wasn’t living up to the social standards he espoused or that a former wholesome child TV star has now gone wild. Such unexpected events.

Re: The Politics Thread 2020

This reminds me of The Goodies election special. The advertising campaign for both parties run by Graeme Garden, was so enthralling that everyone except the two candidates themselves stayed at home watching the advertising campaign on TV instead of voting. As the two candidates cast the only votes, ...

Re: Canberra Raiders set to re-sign Emre Guler to end 2022

Guler is about to hit that key point in his development.

Tim Grant plateau or Shillington improvement zone.

I’m tipping the later. But he’d better try and beat Soliola and Lui at every training session. Sky’s the limit.

Yep must have Starling on the bench.

I feel we may release a forward over the break who’s off contract for 2022, if the right kind of player swap can be made.

Lindsay Collins defence is certainly good news for NSW.

The guy runs good lines in attack, but he doesn’t hold the line and structure in defence.

7.5 for me. He came on and did a great job of giving us another point of attack.

He will really develop his game well off the bench next season. I’m glad he’s taken a long term view of his career. One to watch.

There’s no rush for declaring someone an Immortal. It’s probably better for the player themselves if it’s declared when they are more disconnected from their playing career.
