Re: Canberra Raiders Team of the Decade

I can’t put B White in the team. Vaughan definitely ahead, I even thought fellow Storm player Lima performed better than White for his period with the Raiders. ?? Jeff Lima played 9 games for us. I wasn’t actually serious, but Lima did play pretty well in the majority of those 9 games. But I couldn...

Re: Canberra Raiders Team of the Decade

My team would be: 1. Anthony Milford: I know whe **** us over, but in those years he was with us? Maybe the most electric player in the comp. He was Ponga before Ponga existed. 2. Nick Cotric 3. Jarrod Croker 4. Joey Leilua 5. Jordan Rapana 6. Jack Wighton: Came down to a choice between him and Aus...

Re: Canberra Raiders set to extend Ricky Stuart’s contract to end 2022

Ricky’s performing well at the moment. He’s getting the best out of the players. The players like him and he’s pulled the right strings to get the players to lift their games when required. Seems a good coaching team at the moment, with people working to their strengths and improving their skills. I...

Re: Canberra Raiders Team of the Decade

Great concept. I think players should have played at least 50 games during the period.

A bit of structure makes it more representative of the period.

But great idea. If we win the GF this season I’m naming the current team.

The newspaper reported that 5 other clubs including Raiders had a higher average defensive play the ball speed than Melbourne Storm. Re: If you were the next Head of Australian Rugby League?

I’ve said it for years. Better free to air Tv coverage into regional markets. Knights, Cowboys, Titans, Storm, Raiders etc should have their away games shown on a secondary free to air channel such as GEM. (Even on 30 minute delay would be acceptable). AFL shows every single GWS game on free to air ...

I’m with Hors off the bench as it’s a key role in the modern game. Our bench props are forming a good combination and Papalli and Sia are starting us off well too.

We are very balanced at the moment and players know their roles.

Rewatched the game and glad I did. Some average passes thrown, but the halves also linked really well with each other a number of times. Horsburgh and Lui are also developing a nice catch and pass game that allows our halves to stand wider. Wighton often made his half breaks following this play. I o...

Gee Whitehead, Bateman and Lui are good tacklers near our line. They have been half isolated by the opposition a few times but they hit and stick when required. The two pom backrowers scramble so well. Lui did a great legs tackle tonight on one of their players when they were into half a gap. Geez M...
