Re: Civic still preferred stadium option for Canberra Raiders

It’s either Civic or stay at Bruce. These other areas don’t resolve the existing problems of the Bruce location.

Re: Exhibition Park emerges as possible location for new 25,000-seat Canberra Stadium

Where’s Raidersfan or his current alter ego. I argued with him that the Gungahlin Light Rail would delay building the Civic stadium. He said it wouldn’t, but later even the ACT Sports Minister said the Light Rail build was a reason for the delay. I said it would unlikely the new stadium be built in ...

Re: Grand Final to remain in Sydney

Sydney Cricket Ground is a terrible place to watch rugby league and a terrible ground to play rugby league.

Big leg up for the Roosters and a big missed opportunity to grow the game.

Re: NRL calls on fans to voice their opinion

I think it’s the frustration of being on the wrong side of the two key referee overturns of the last decade. Sharks game Touchie flag and now the six again GF call. I think we can all accept that referees make mistakes or don’t see things the same way as someone else, we’ve been on both sides of the...

Actually good point about improved kicking. Sezer over the second half of the season became very good at bombs landing in the oppositions left side corner.

Didn’t necessarily result in tries for us, but it consistently pinned them down for three tackles a set.

Jack Wighton turns down Raiders option to go on open market for 2021

Why is letting the likes of Lui go, Suddenly going to free up money for players like Wighton and Bateman? Unfortunately it’s about letting the likes of Croker, BJ or Tapine go if we need to free up enough money. I think the Daily Telegraph had Lui earning $220k. My guess is it’s a little bit more bu...

Re: Is this last straw for anyone?

Not for me. Nows our time to rise! Roosters are reportedly losing JWH and Jake Friend. Cronk has left, they’re going to need a rebuild. Storm has an aging Smith, Chambers is going. They’re due for a dip in form. With those two potentially in trouble, that leaves next years competition wide open for...

Re: Is this last straw for anyone?

Are there any current rules governing trainers? According to a SMH article the NRL guidelines say Trainers can’t adversely affect the opposition team. This seemed a blatant case of adversely affecting the opposition. Annesley seems to have cherry picked what rules and guidelines best suit the Roost...

Re: 2019 Grand Final V Roosters: Game Day

Considering the ball flew horizontally and slightly right towards a Raiders player and not vertically off the top of the Raiders shoulder, the laws of Physics would suggest that the ball likely hit ‘both’ Tedesco and Simonsson. The ball would have flown upwards and to the left if it had solely hit S...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2019

We need to do a Roosters or Broncos and release Lui to free up $1.5 million per season from our salary cap.

We can then sign Paas, Ponga and Tedesco who are happy to accept minimum wage contracts just to play for the Raiders.

Tedesco’s try was setup by the break in the play before.

BJ and the right edge were just trying to scramble as best they could. It still took a good pass from Latrell.

2019 Grand Final V Roosters: Game Day

Back to ‘Six again’, Looking at the direction that the ball flies backwards and where it contacts Simonsson’s shoulder the ball is most likely to have hit both Tedesco and Simonsson. If it only contacted the Raiders player it would have most likely traveled more vertically. When Annesley comes out a...

Can anyone tell me why the Raiders weren’t deemed to be the attacking team when the ball hit the Roosters trainer? The ball had come off us in a charge down, putting us in the attacking position. The Raiders boys are looking very nervous and jittery in the sheds. Roosters looking very calm and relaxed, lots of smiles. Hopefully not a bad omen, as that's apparently what it was like in 2003. That blowing the horn gag, the guys were playing on Erin Molan was just an example of how weak Channel 9 football coverage has become.

Pardon the pun for using ‘gag’ in this context.

Erin Molan is a fine support act for a sports panel show, but she ain’t supporting much league intellect.
