Re: Williams or Sezer

Things to stay as they are whilst we are winning.

The only reason to change would be Williams performing poorly in a few NRL games and Sezer performing very well at Mounties.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2019

Fullback is a very stacked position, Tedesco has a mortgage on the blues and aus jersey for the next 5-8 years Spot on, Tedesco should have a mortgage on blues fullback. But, if Dylan Edwards ever gets a ‘Mortgage’ on a representative fullback position I’d be reopening the banking Royal Commission.

Re: 2018 in review - Siliva Havili

Siliva Havili... I was impressed against the Broncos yesterday when we had just gone to an 8-4 lead and they kick off. The ball is bouncing towards our dead ball line and Havili is running within centimeters of the dead ball line when he gets to the ball off his forehead, then controls it and gets ...

Good call Last Raider. I think Wighton needs to learn how to square his shoulders, slow his run and pass left or right.

Re: 2019 Rd 6 V Broncos: Game Day

I raised it before. But I’ll keep the superstition up by mentioning it.

Dunamis Lui again with zero errors for the game and the entire season so far, and just 1 more missed tackle to add to his very safe season.

Havilli also very good off the bench.

2019 NRL Round 6 - Teams and Game Day

Great game of football. The refs made some poor calls, but I also thought the refs had to make so many difficult decisions all night. Very tough game to adjudicate.

Both teams really push the skills, speed, game play and rules, right to the limit for 80 minutes plus.

Re: ACT government looks to formalise community in Canberra Raiders contract

At the end of the day, for the amount of money the ACT Government are paying GWS for what, four games a year here, they could build the new rink - something that would actually benefit the ACT community year-round and even offer room for expansion - hosting AHL finals, perhaps the National Figure S...

ACT government looks to formalise community in Canberra Raiders contract

I think the fact that Wagga Wagga has a much much higher than Australian average proportion of people working in State and Federal Government related Military, University, Health and Social Services is the key reason for the towns population growth. Not because they put on some Council funded events...

I don't really understand this conversation... why WOULDN'T the incentive to bring an out of town, other code team to Canberra be more than the teams that already play out of your town every second week? Makes perfect sense to me. I’ll give you a why WOULDN’T.... Because you need to support your sp...

Re: ACT government looks to formalise community in Canberra Raiders contract

The government has an obligation to ensure the money is delivering the best possible benefit to the community as a whole and the best way to do that is to put terms and conditions into the agreement. But $1.6 million a year for a few Western Sydney club games a year is of no benefit to Canberra in ...

Re: Rugby League strategy only

Play those same tactics too often and opponents will just compress the defense. Get more numbers in the tackles which slows down the ruck and kills momentum. At some stage you need to shift the ball wide and test the edges. Yep good call. Teams with structured attack or superstars like Storm and Ro...

Considering Sezer was pretty good in our opening win and played halfback during our second place finish in 2016, I wouldn’t be selling him of immediately. Meninga clearly better and more influential than Inglis. Meninga had that Inglis like tackle breaking ability and strong defence. So they are even there. I do like our defensive focused, tire the opposition, low risk rugby league to win games. I’d rather the crazy ball movement all out attack football of the Raiders over the last ...

2019 Rd 5 V Eels: Fans' Choice Player of the Year

I didn’t give him any points. But once again Lui has remained error free, line break cause free and try cause free for the season so far. He caught and held couple of tough crash balls under pressure last night. He’s not flashy, but a good honest toiler with a low mistake rate is good for this Raide...

I know it’s a penalty try, but you have to send players to the Sin Bin for such blatant interference on a try scoring opportunity.

Otherwise players will just try and foul people all the time that a try is happening. That’s a bad look for the game.

I think it’s just knowing the rule. It’s been done so infrequently people forget it. I’d expect to see it a lot more with the coverage Fergo got. There's actually a lot of inconsistency around the rules about ball going out of play. I recall a Broncos v Panthers game a few years ago. Grubber kick i...
