Re: Corey Harawira-Naera reportedly on the Raiders radar

The fact that they were both successful in their appeals should be enough for all of us to realise we probably don’t even have the full story of what even happened. Get off their cases. If they committed a criminal offence they’d be in gaol. They deserve to get on with their careers.

Surely someone has spoken to Vaughan. It is not a happy camp at the Dragons. If his attitude is adjusted I think he’s the perfect partner next to Papa.

Very sad for Josh. Horrible. But now this is a real opportunity for Jack and George to own the team. Jack still looks nervous and unsure sometimes. Re: Canberra Raiders offer Nick Cotric three-year deal

Career suicide if he goes there. For 250k more per year...when you factor in post tax figure, higher amount to manager, higher cost of living in Sydney, more than likely no rep money coming in. Is it really worth it? Imagine the pressure the kid would be feeling. It’s easy to look at the $$$. Regard...

Re: Canberra Raiders offer Nick Cotric three-year deal

At the Raiders, Nick Cotric is a ‘Tommy Turbo injury’ away from an origin jersey. If Turbo is injured (when isn’t he?), Cotric is the NSW winger. If he signs with the Bulldogs and has to rely on the ‘brilliance’ of Brandon Wakeham or the ‘astute, uncoordinated’ kicking game of Lachlan Lewis to do an...

Should do some field goal practice this week and instruct the playmakers that is also an option when up by 12 rather than the standard 5 hitups-get-tackled-in-the-corner tactic.

If he is going back to Wigan, I’m fine with it.

If he is staying in the NRL, it is a kick in the teeth to the club that brought him over. Especially after they let him postpone his surgery to pursue representative honours, pretty much at the expense of our entire 2020 campaign.

So we are critiquing players’ performances on skills they have never had? He’s not a ball playing fullback. If he is being used as one, it is on the coach. Paul Gallen called CNK out on this last year. Nothing has changed. He’s not a Moylan or Turbo. I’d be looking at our hooker and forward pack be...

Well the ref has had a big hand in this - so many forward passes ignored, over abundance of restarts for Manly but few for Raiders for exactly same issues, penalties all Manly’s way. Raiders have put their heart and soul into this and had three almost tries. Were right in the game all along. Didn’t...

Interesting that Josh Hodgson polled 1 Dally M point. Jack got the 3, Josh Reynolds got 2.

I love Hodgson, but I thought he was quite poor. Not sure who the judge was or what game he was watching. Plenty of other more deserving players that’s for sure.

This will be a real test for the boys. It’s easy to be ‘up’ for Melbourne in Melbourne. But they need to really show up again. Re: John Bateman in talks for $3.5m return to Super League

Questions have to be asked of the club and why they allowed Bateman to play for his country when he was clearly busted. It’s ludicrous that his surgery was booked in 4 months (?) after the Raiders last game.

Now he’ll be missing for at least half a season, if not more.

He’s contracted here for the next 2 seasons. If he has a renegotiation clause, that means they can negotiate. Surely that doesn’t allow him an easy ‘out’. Imagine the Dragons giving Ben Hunt permission to negotiate with other clubs, one year into his $1.1m per year mega deal. The guy was hardly value for money in his first year, his value plummeted. He gets offers from the Bulldogs for $600k, Gold Coast for $750k. Goes back to the CEO and says this is...
