Re: Curtis Scott signs with Canberra Raiders to end 2023

BJ is a powerhouse and I love him. He is a loose cannon and will not make the right decision every time (like throwing a pass to Rapana to win us the GF!). But you don't hold the against him because the positives outweigh the negatives. I still think he is the best centre in the game when coming out...

Leilua should have passed that damn thing. Yep, it really was the moment Yep - the Leilua pass and Tapine turning his back were the two costly moments in which we were poor. On most occasions just two errors/moments would not cost you the game. This time it was just enough. We were certainly unluck...

Re: Jack Wighton turns down Raiders option to go on open market for 2021

I don't think the Roosters and/or Melbourne's of the world would poach Jack at the numbers we are talking about. He is not as influential as Cronk or Keary or Smith. He's more like Lattrell. And I don't think the Roosters would pay a million a year for Lattrell. He is estimated to be on 550-600k at ...

Re: Jack Wighton turns down Raiders option to go on open market for 2021

The Raiders expected Wighton to knock back the option given he's changed management since his previous contract Wighton's previous manager, and not Rose, would continue to get paid until the end of 2021 if the option was taken up. a not very subtle crack from the club there Yes, I did laugh. Re: Jack Wighton turns down Raiders option to go on open market for 2021

I doubt we lose Jack (we get long service discount on him soon don't we? he can't get that elsewhere)... but no player is bigger than the club. Jack is also not a $1M player imo. I'd let him go at those numbers. He is not Cronk or Thurston. We have made excellent decisions with retention and cap man...

I think we will remain a top 4 side. As noted above - our culture, accountability, and attitude has improved out of sight. This is readily seen in defence. And culture starts at the top. It was mentioned above that Ricky has changed the way he speaks (which reflects thinking). The sports psych may h...

Keary, Latrell, Tupou and Teddy not exactly bums when a chance to exploit an unorganised edge either. If a trainer touches the ball or interferes with an opposition player it should be an automatic penalty to the other team. Simple as that. It is their responsibility to ensure they don't impact on the game. If they can't do that properly, then bad luck. Anyway, too little too late. The ref made a c...

It has been an amazing year. I've really enjoyed the banter and analysis on the GH. Props to you all. Tonight sucked. We just couldn't capitalise when we had the run of possession. But gee we are/were a team. Something to be proud of. Can't wait for 2020. I've no doubt about our creds for next year....

Their bench has been outstanding, I truly think we need to ensure we match them by shuffling our pack. Roosters will jam up all day. They did it to Melbourne and to us at home. We need smart good kicking behind them to keep them honest. Sezer will have to play the game of his life. Big test this week. Roosters defence is first rate. Our attack a bit clunky/pedestrian, much like the Storm. When we have had success against them this year it has been through offloads and 2nd phase, which is not our typical error-free style. I think we will need to take a few chances with offloads...

So many players copped knocks last night there may be some last minute fitness tests needed. I had BJ, JB, Hodgo, Tapine and Jack as needing treatment during the match.
