Re: 2016 Round 22 V Sharks: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
Does anyone else get the feeling that Vaughan has signed elsewhere (or is looking to sign elsewhere)? It seems when players are looking elsewhere Ricky won't play them no matter how good they are (eg: Barnett, Pangai Jnr, Waqa, etc). Brenko.... We have a lot of forward depth, and almost no depth in...

Re: Frank Paul Nuuausala set to join St Helens
RLW says maybe swap with John Bateman? Pretty sure he plays second row P8ovbhLFKhQ Looks a bit undersized to me, I could only see him taking a bench role. The fans on Pommy forums love him though. Funny how defence isn't included in their little video game stats thing, yet somehow passing, footwork...

Wighton played very well tonight Yep. I've been off Wighton for a very long time, and while tonight he didn't set the world on fire, he looked like he was playing with some confidence rather than trying to not stuff up. The tip on down the right, the pump and pass to Croker, even the sliding eventu...

Re: Fitness peaks
Think of physical performance as the product of two competing outcomes - gain (fitness) and fatigue. Fatigue diminishes disproportionately faster than fitness gains (approx 3x faster, obviously differences exist between people, especially genetic freaks). As has been mentioned, teams want to peak at...

Going to have to agree to disagree on Dean Whare Pigman. I think he's one of the top tier centres in the competition. Agree 100%. Whare is an absolute gun. He offers just as much, if not more in attack than Croker and his defence is far, far superior. His ball playing (not really a term used for ce...

Re: Jack locks for Fensom?
I dont know about Lock. Jack just isn't as good as everyone thinks he is. He's a pretty poor fullback. Let's look at key areas for a fullback that Wighton is poor at: Defence: People think he's a great defender, yet every week you see him get bumped off when trying to stop a defender close to the l...

Having seen his transition into the frontrow for Mounties im glad he got 1st crack at FG this yr. He has become fearless against men in the space of 1 yr. This. He hits the line hard and keeps driving after contact. He whacked Fifita hard in defence and left him on the deck too. I think Ricky leavi...

Re: 2016 Rd 7 V Sharks: Game Day
Have noticed a fair bit of anti-Eddie Lee sentiment. Have to say watching on TV he didn't seem to do anything wrong. What was the big problem? haha is that a gee up? He was absolutely abysmal. Dropped about 3 bombs, gets driven back 10 metres every run and his defensive reads are pathetic. He looks...

Re: Out the back plays
Jack has proven to be a very good defensive fullback. ...except when Kieran Foran is running at him. :opps He is NOT a good defensive fullback, this is another one of those GH myths. He regularly gets caught out of position, doesn't make any heavy impact, Lachlan Coote hits harder than this guy. In...

I saw Ricky at a cafe today in Manuka and asked him if there is any chance at least one of the boys playing this week and he said one will play for sure but didn't tell me who. Surely no NRL club is stupid enough to take Frank off our hands. I think Ricky has to push him to take a 3 year retirement contract in the UK now, while he may still be seen as somewhat desirable. Brenko, Lima out Leilua, Bateman in FPN to work his ass off to make up for his brain explosion and keep his spot (plus it'll be 1 less outside the 25 to use) I feel a lot better about our RHS with Leilua coming in for Brenko. Re: 2016 Rd 4 V Titans: Game Day
Even when FPN runs hard he stops as soon as contact is made and his held up then taken down for the slowest PTB in history. He offers nothing. He is not an 'enforcer', not a meter eater, not a big hitter, doesn't get quick ptb's, but does dog shot blokes when the game is on the line. Get rid of him.
