Re: 2024 Round 2 v Tigers: Game Day

Probably been said already, but outstanding game from Strange today. We have an absolute gun on our hands. The try was great but the tackle on Staines (yes it was penalised) after missing the tackle on Papalii was simply outstanding for a player his age and three games in. Effort play after an erro...

Re: 2024 Round 2 v Tigers: Game Day

We are going alright when the hot argument is over a 20 minute bench role. Guler had 48 minutes today according to NRL.com That was more than any other front rower other than Tapine. So it's not actually a small role he plays. And as per above, if there is a person on this site who has defended and...

Raiders also tried to do similar things to Storm in Brisbane by connecting with Logan and basing lower tier players there. NSW Rugby League stopped that by threatening to kick Canberra region out of NSW competitions. Rugby League is not a free market like many think. Powerbrokers and powerful clubs...

Re: Canberra Raiders express interest in Cowboys forward Luciano Leilua

He is looking for his 4th club since 2019. Look, it's not a great record but 4 times a year is a bit over the top. Arguably he hasn't been managed by the right coach either. Todd Payten is very green and the Tigers and Dragons have been a rabble the last decade. I'm not advocating for LL to be here...

So games he's racking up 150, 160, 170, 180+ metres consistently isn't setting the world on fire? Just say you don't watch the games Saulo averages 50m per game. The tackle breaks across a season tell the same story. They do different things. But it's gotta be a troll to pretend Mooney isn't gonna ...

I'd like to see Chevy at FB and Savage on the wing. Rapana on the other wing. With Timoko, Kris and Weekes, that's a speedy backline that can cause trouble for defences. We saw what a good centre Kris can be v Wests in his only game there, and Timoko getting good early ball in the second NZ v Austr...

I side with Matt on this one. You need a back up half. I’d argue we need a first grade standard pivot more but we’ve dug that grave early. It’s not fair or a good idea to have your back up half being your junior (and we don’t even know if he’s coming yet + if he does he’s at another club this year)...
