Re: SURVIVOR POLL V: Top ten greatest ever Raiders
Ruben Wiki. Incidentally I happened upon (or is that apon?) the Canberra Museum and Gallery today, and they have a 40 Years of raiders thingy there. I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but it's pretty cool to see Jack's actual Dally M and Clive Churchill medals. As well as jarrod C's 100th try boot...

Re: Elliott Whitehead
Is Papa carrying an injury perhaps? He's been a game breaker for us but seems a bit off ATM. well he did get hit in the head early against Newcastle. He was kneeling on the sideline with a sponge held to his left eyebrow (or his head right above there). Eventually he came back out taped. He had the...

Re: 2022 State of Origin II: Blues V Maroons
Slater really doesn’t like Papalli does he? I dont think that is right I think he misuses him. He wants him to be a short term high impact player Big runs, huge hits. Set a tone and let others take it over. He is asking him to lead the defensive line, give it his all and check out and let the rest ...

In about eight years' time it will be Sam Williams... said it before and I stand by it.
I'm not saying it makes any sense.

Y dont we go back to the game where Woodford made his debut on the bench… we won that one… he’s better then starling against tired defenders n just better decisions in the 2nd half…..80 mins from Woolford will be good but we don’t want him getting burnt out….. I’d go starling start n then woolford ...

If you told me at the start of the years Tarps would be the best prop in the NRL I would have struggled to believe you. Geez he has been good. I’d love to know what has been the difference. Did Rick push the right buttons, did he just find a happy place in life? Whatever it is - long May it last! f...

Good game. Great to see some of the kids of the future... think our boys all handled things well Mooney and Asamoua very impressive, Morkos struggled at times defensively but looked dangerous with ball in hand Mooney should be a walk up start for our 17 now and certain next year without Elliott and...

Re: Zac Woolford set to secure new deal at Canberra Raiders
We might be looking to offload Starling in the near future. I was never convinced he was a long term solution, but it has been a very rapid fall from grace. Dolphins need players. Maybe we can offload Starling. Starling is the type of player that I think would be reasonable easy to move (with freig...

well I can't read the article but "his management" would be insane to do anything else but sign up. His form could disappear down the dunny here, or he could go to another club as a no-name third-stringer.
Or he could be really good, and why not here?

Re: A new Canberra Stadium?
If anyone was prepared to break the link between Constitution Avenue and London Circuit, all the land of the Civic Pool, the Convention Centre and the tragically rundown civic CIT could easily fit a massive stadium precinct. However it would require extra access to the rest of Constitution Avenue fr...

Re: Sam Williams eager to continue NRL career after Raiders departure
I wish Sam all the best as well. However, this thread does highlight to me I have a different interest in the raiders than many of my fellow supporters. Many seem to value the effort, loyalty, longevity and passion Sam brought to the club and while I respect that it isn’t something I feel I could b...

He's got a reasonably strong history of identifying and developing young talent, clearly he cant **** coach but i certainly wouldnt be opposed to bringing him in for a specific role if he's serious about understanding his HC days are over. The car parks are also part of Commonwealth Park, and as such are on land managed by the National Capital Authority. In other words you'd need the Feds permission to build there, and I highly, highly doubt they'd give it. If you tried to build there you'd probably also create a bureaucratic nightma...

It was no coincidence we made the GF when Ennis was assistant coach. Would love to get him as head coach. Horse has overtaken papa as our second prop. Re: 2022 Rd 14 V Broncos: Game Day
At risk of scapegoating individuals I think a lot of our problems in the last 20 mins came from Starling. He kept holding the ball and running around at dummy half. It was disrupting any structure we may have had. What we needed at the back end of the game and Starling was completely lacking it. We...

Re: A new Canberra Stadium?
I’ve often wondered whether the second best place for the stadium near the city would be around the car parks to the west of Commonwealth park. Seems to be more room than on Parks Way and would have less impact on the rest of the city during construction. I’ve drawn a 180m straight line to give a p...

I think this is a very strong side, about as strong as we could hope for, after the news about CNK - six weeks was an awful shock after Ricky had said 1-2. It is harsh on Kris, but Croker did a great job in the Bulldogs match before he was injured and I don't at all think it's a coincidence that th...

Re: 2022 Rd 12 V Eels: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
also notice tapine stays on if papa off, for maybe 10 more mins, it was bad taking them off at the same time I wondered if that was a ploy by Stuart for Tarps to show that he was going all-in for Papa's 250, rather than a pattern of selection. It looked dodgy after Tapine's error in about the 37th ...

OK with the team, feel for CHN and Kris. I think CHN is better than Elliott Whitehead and Adam Elliott. Will be close so may need Croker's kicking. Penisini is slippery though. Parra have a great pack and big boppers on the bench as well. Matterson, Paulo, Papalii', Moses, Dylan Brown and Gutherson...

Re: 2022 Rd 11 V Rabbitohs: Game Day
He's a super tough kid and i LOVE how sound he is defensively. I've said it before but he'll have a long professional career as a back up for that alone! Clubs will value having a guy like him as a #3-4 half who they know they can put in in spot starts and know he'll hold up defensively. But again,...

I like Theo Fages from Huddersfield and France. 25 years old. Smart organising halfback who can run and kick. Could be the steal of the decade.
