Re: Are we premiership contenders?

The more I think about it, the more I think about us possibly being a contender, the more I believe that John Bateman is the key. Bateman is all attitude. He is a winner and demands the same level of competitiveness from the players around him. Without him we found ways to lose both the Roosters an...

Re: 2019 Rd 15 V Eels: Teams and Previews

Keep in mind though that if we didn't award 2 points for the bye the problem isn't really solved and the table would still be confusing. Because assuming you get 2 byes in the year, that's effectively a week where you don't have the opportunity to get 2 points where the other teams do. I think its ...

Re: Are we premiership contenders?

Regardless where we finish, I think that the 8 teams contesting the finals this year will be the strongest that we have seen in many years. Interesting, i would go the reverse. I agree it will be one of the closest we've seen in many years, but i think thats because its the weakest. Aside from the ...

I can feel my ludicrous optimism starting to build. You know it will happen to you, too! We are this year's fairytale. Everyone else has had a go, except the Titans, and that would just be a fix. I guess I'd say yes we can and will win it all. I do actually have a reason - it's not that we are grea...

I actually wasnt the biggest fan of bankwest stadium when I went for the tigers game. The food was A+ , fairly priced, good quality and great variety. Someone put the ticket scanners on the wrong side, which was annoying and a bit funny. But the important bit , i felt like i was further away then a...

I've got some random thoughts - feel free to ignore! I'm bewildered why there is so much emphasis on Jake T filling in at prop. I get that some current locks are bash-it-up middle forwards - he isn't one of them. he's an 80 minute effort AND skill player, and the idea of moving him out of a hoover i...

Tigers apparently shopping Josh Reynolds, McQueen, Elijah Taylor and Russell Packer. If we haven't got George Williams (which I'm fairly certain we have!) I reckon we should have a crack at Reynolds. Re: Current dummy half

Hodgo needs to give the ball to our halves much more in the attacking 20 - not only because our real attacking strength is in the three-quarters, but also because the opposition is so used to him dominating the play that his short kicking game, nice little changes of direction with his tight forwar...

Robbie Farah kicked on the 4th at least twice, and I wondered if they were worried about their hitups... they weren't good kicks though, because Charnze doesn't seem to drop anything. Who cares if he can play. Xavier Savage. That is a friggin' brilliant rugby league name. THIS is what's important! Melbourne seem to have found 23 fullbacks to replace Slater. As soon as one falls over they roll out an even better one. Fantastic for both of them - and always on the cards - Fittler has been talking about them both all year and the Sydney noise about people like Jesse Ramien has been just that, noise.
