Re: The Roar: Raiders greatest ever team

I read this days ago and laughed. Apart from Lazarus, Sam Backo and Peter Jackson want their money back. Lesley Vainikolo, Sean Hoppe and Ken Nagas are jostling in the background. Can we claim Phil Blake? If the criterion is who played the most games for whichever of their clubs, then fair enough. ...

Re: Can a Canberra Raiders player take the 2020 Dally M Medal?

Bring back the Rothman's Medal I say. Nothing resonates more clearly in an elite sporting context than an award created to promote an addictive, cancer-causing performance inhibiting product. AND it was voted for by the referees. Perfect! Imagine winning the Winfield Cup/Rothman's Medal double like...

It's not just crushers, they've also leaped upon this new thing where you drag a bloke down and onto you and twist his leg at the same time. I get the impression that regardless of Annesley, V'Landys and Abdo will back the refs to do what the NRL want them to. Which is clean up the game to ensure it...

Well to be fair, the Dally M is not a credible reflection of relative performance. Have a look at the voters for it. As I'm sure you have done.

Hodgo will have less to think about going forward. Hopefully he just slides back into the side and gives G&J the job of running the side. Hodgo will thrive with less expectation on him. I reckon taking a step back is a big mental hurdle for him. Whenever he gets praise for being the best dummy half...

I'm a bit disappointed for Simon that he can't go to the game. He's a good guy and a great enhancement to the game day, especially this year.

Don't really care about Gould at all. He is yesterday's man and I don't need to think about him until we're in the GF.

Yep CHN better have a gut busting off season. He’s clearly a step below the rest fitness wise and his defence needs stiffening. Given how big he actually looks in the flesh, I can imagine him moving to the front row in a couple of years. He won't need quite as much mobility then, if that lack isn't...

If Souths can put 60 on the Roosters, I don't think we need to be afraid of them - they're going out in straight sets. That will leave us to beat the Storm in a prelim. Not the slightest bit impossible, especially if that Smith sycophant Atkins isn't on the whistle. And Penrith will be due for a los...

This may not be popular, but I thought Annesley handled that briefing pretty well. What else could he say? He can only, as he said, look at the black and white of the law. Pretty low bar he's now set if that's considered anywhere near a decent game, tbh.
