Re: Status check

After 17 rounds we are third on the ladder, The reality is that we have not beaten the top 3 teams. Some of the teams we are contending with have looked awesome at times, like Newcastle, the Panthers, and Sharks. While Manly have shown how tough they can be. ... they deserve to be exactly where the...

Re: Cotric and the Judiciary

Im sorry but Stuart was way out of line in his presser, attacking the journo.... it was one of the worst tackles ive ever seen, a total neck breaker... send off was appropriate, and he is probably looking at 4-6 weeks out for it. Now look Lucky nothing against you personally but ****. This is one o...

2 weeks, clumsy no malice player unhurt In normal circumstances yes. In this case they may come down harder to justify the send off. I don’t think the player being hurt or unhurt should come into it. It’s needs to be judged on the risk to the player, intent and seriousness of the action It should a...

Someone who knows the rules better than I do help out here please. What is the consideration for mistake as opposed to intentional? Yes, it looks bad because he's driven him into the ground. Maybe that's with an eye to the future?

Rick did really well to say that defence is about... how the personnel have allowed the defence to get better. Without saying that getting rid of some personnel has allowed the defence to get better...

All up he seemed pretty confident, which made me happy.

Yeah, also FTA exposure is so clearly going to impact your TPAs, player exposure and rep exposure. It’s got a strong direct impact on your squad quality and ability to be a competitive team. Longer and more frequent travel is a much more surmountable obstacle to my mind. Well The Rickman 's onto th...

The more I think about it, the more I think about us possibly being a contender, the more I believe that John Bateman is the key. Bateman is all attitude. He is a winner and demands the same level of competitiveness from the players around him. Without him we found ways to lose both the Roosters an...

Keep in mind though that if we didn't award 2 points for the bye the problem isn't really solved and the table would still be confusing. Because assuming you get 2 byes in the year, that's effectively a week where you don't have the opportunity to get 2 points where the other teams do. I think its ...

Regardless where we finish, I think that the 8 teams contesting the finals this year will be the strongest that we have seen in many years. Interesting, i would go the reverse. I agree it will be one of the closest we've seen in many years, but i think thats because its the weakest. Aside from the ...

I can feel my ludicrous optimism starting to build. You know it will happen to you, too! We are this year's fairytale. Everyone else has had a go, except the Titans, and that would just be a fix. I actually wasnt the biggest fan of bankwest stadium when I went for the tigers game. The food was A+ , fairly priced, good quality and great variety. Hodgo needs to give the ball to our halves much more in the attacking 20 - not only because our real attacking strength is in the three-quarters, but also because the opposition is so used to him dominating the play that his short kicking game, nice little changes of direction with his tight forwar...
