Re: 2019 Rd 6 V Broncos: Game Day

So just to count our chickens before they hatch... If we win this by six we are equal first even on F/A with the Storm and Roosters, win it by 7+ we are outright 1st (again on F/A). Been interesting watching our odds shorten for the premiership. We started the season at 26-1, down to 13-1 now which...

Hard to say whether Gavel is talking "best" or "most influential"... one might suggest that John Lomax and Quentin Pongia (together or apart) showed the entire league that kiwi forwards were there for the taking...

awful commentating - on fox they whined about the last Cowboys try and said not a word about the last Storm try which had a "flat" pass go from a yard behind the 10 to two in front... not to mention the reffing - I thought Atkins and Badger were possibly the best - now I see they put protocols ahead...

Gotta love this game! 5 weeks ago we had a squad that was struggling to get any love to be tipped for 5-8 finish. Now we are an unknown halfback away from contending with the premiership favourites! Haha classic sports isn't it? 5 weeks is a long time... in 5 weeks time we might be discussing...

ha I'm dirty because I stupidly tipped the Broncos (thus forcing me to cheer for them) but when Alexander said the Roosters were getting ragged I said they'd score. They did. The Broncos are going to be garbage while they have Nikorima: the poor mans Milford; Boyd, who looks like he should retire, a...

Won’t read through this thread because I know how it goes. I think we’re very obviously a strong prop short. Especially with Wightons strong early set carries a thing of the past. This game is no disaster though. A good friend of mine sent a message telling me he wanted to tip Canberra and to convi...

Agree with CoastalRaider and Raiderskater here - and pretty much everyone else, but I did like their points. Couple of others - Croker was mighty in defence, like he'd really challenged himself - it seemed to take the Titans by surprise and also, just looking at him, I dunno if it was my imagination...

Do you think that Sezer has told the Raiders that he's ready to move on next year? That's why they've organised the signing of Williams now? Good question - I haven't got a clue but it might make sense. Then again, where would Sezer be moving on to? For speculation sake Warriors, Bulldogs, Tigers, ...

Interesting answer from Paul White on expansion (to something which wasn't actually a a question)(and I paraphrase from memory): "I don't know anyone who doesn't think new clubs wouldn't be a money pit, and I use as a example the AFL with GWS and Gold Coast". So he's not complaining about a lack of ...

An interesting take on our spine by The Roar. Why the Canberra Raiders have the worst spine in the NRL Rugby league fans know that a team’s spine is crucial in creating success. Not up to scratch, either of them. They'll probably turn around and say... "we're going to prove the Raiders wrong" and put in a whole pile of metres in 2019. Paul Vaughan did exactly the same thing when he left. Just a shame they didn't produce for the Raiders. Tnen they wouldn't be needing to pro...

Ch 7 last night had a puff piece on Edwards, and how he's their future, the new Billy Slater, and how he's pushed DWZ to the wing. Seems like he was never going anywhere. Or they are trying to reassure him that he chose the right offer. Or they don't really like DWZ.

I never hated him (I say now...)
