Re: Is this last straw for anyone?
It's not, no. The refs didn't rob us of the game. We had the majority of the ball and more than enough chances, but we didn't take them. It's disappointing that we're taking the easy option of blaming the officials, instead of looking inward and asking how we can be better. There are plenty of area...

Re: Is this last straw for anyone?
I don't see how the ball freakishly hitting a trainer can be linked to the shadowy NRL conspiracies hinted in the early posts in this thread. It's a completely dumb piece of ill-luck. But the actual application of the rule was correct. Unlucky for us- yes. Unfair- no. It's just a rule. I don't poin...

Is this last straw for anyone?
Before the game I was chatting to my cousin and said the Refs better not * us! Just trying to compute everything the last couple days and i'm still fuming, I've always felt the Raiders seem to get the rough end of the stick more often then not and to have what happened is sickening. For a long time ...

Take them, imagine 40 years in the future... you're on your death bed, Raiders lasts GF appearance and win was in 2019 and your kids are holding your hands as you slip into death both wearing their Raiders gear not because they know you love the Raiders but because they love the Raiders.

Anyone else feel that the UFC is heading down a similar path to boxing in regards to the way the division titles are being managed? It's far from the overly complicated and excessive systems of belts and weight classes boxing has but intrim belts, champions delaying divisions, the GSP and McGregor ...

Re: I'm tired and I'm worn down
I stopped caring a while ago, while I used to hang on the injury reports, team line up and weekly news in the last couple years I just check NRL.com on Thursday and then see when the Raiders are playing. The sport seems to keep spiring down, what was a rule last week could be something new this week...

Sorry to hear mate, I lost my mum to Cancer as well, she wasn't a League fan but a massive Raiders fan because she knew when they won her boys were happy. Maybe they can be up there having the flip side to the discussion we are having. All the best.

Me and a friend jokingly call this place TheGrumpyHouse :) Do either of you laugh? Yes we laugh at things like as highlighted in the thread when Croker gets the ball there's a chance we are going to get a penalty, we laugh at the refs and the state of the game, we laugh at how silly this place has ...

Re: Has anyone else noticed this about Croker?
He's very good at getting to his stomach on those runs, he gets there quickly and initiates the milking very quickly so the perception is he's being held down longer. He's incredibly agile so when he gets hit, he just gets himself spun into a position where he can get into it. It's in its own way a...

Re: Has anyone else noticed this about Croker?
So Jarrod Croker gets an occasional penalty for being held down. Not to mention all the penalties he doesn’t get for being obstructed in the chase. And there’s a whole thread about it? I’ve now seen it all. Ridiculous. What is rediculous is that you as a forum owner will see an issue with someone p...

Re: Has anyone else noticed this about Croker?
Yeah completely agree and have seen it without a doubt. He does get a few soft ones our way but if he doesn’t get it then obviously it creates a slow play the ball so it’s semi-risky move really. They generally don't want a quick play the ball when most of the forward pack are ambling back to the r...

Re: Has anyone else noticed this about Croker?
He does successfully milk a lot of penalties. But he also whinges at times where a quick play-the-ball would be the preferred option to an unsuccessful milk. He is quite the cow. Yeah agree, on Friday there was a point where he did infact get a quick play the ball and Jacky got confused and the bal...

Has anyone else noticed this about Croker?
This is something I noticed years ago and told a friend about it and we laugh about it weekly because it happens pretty consistently. When the fullback or winger finishes their kick return run Croker from time to time will step in and take a run from hooker, this almost every time either results in ...

Re: We have two five-eighths
I think Austin needs to focus more on getting at least a couple steps in before passing.. put the defense in two minds. His catch and pass is very poor imo, it's like a lobbed pass to the next player like something you'll see in junior footy.

I don't get involved in all the dramas on TheGH (I guess i just did now though) but dead set this is a one of the most childish forums I visit and the behavior stems from adults. Topics get derailed left right and center, there's bullying and plenty of butt hurt. Not going to point out names but ser...

I'm super pumped.
I'm heading out the the game from Sydney, anytime i've been to a game before I've had good seats but this time could only manage to get crappy seats. Does anyone know if there's any standing room with a decent view in the stadium?

What's the record for most users online at the same time, GE? I'm sure you're not busy at all and can answer my whim immediately. Most users ever online was 463 on May 12, 2016, 9:54 pm Really, what happened then? I remember in the Carney days this place was hard to reach from overload at times.
